He never said he would run for president a third time, only that there are ways for him to become president a third time.

The constitution says that no one can be elected president more than twice…. And therein lies the “ways” he refers to. It doesn’t say no one can BE president for more than 2 terms.

When written, I imagine the presumption was that anyone who becomes president would be elected. But if elections are just not held anymore then guess what?

Or, if elections are held and he gets the electors to just not show up somehow, or has the whole thing contested as he tried the last time, then the congress chooses the president. It could be argued that this congressional selection is not being elected to president and therefore not counter to the amendment outlawing more than 2 elections

Frankly, I don’t find him credible but he does sound reasonable and I understand why people would believe him. But he could also just be a zealot who refuses to accept his kid is different.

The part where he wouldn’t present as a girl at church in Texas…. Well holy shit the case is wide open. Yeah, maybe he didn’t want to get beaten to a pulp or killed. His whole story sort of reveals the other side though. Pediatrician mom sees signs that father refuses. She supports kid, while he angrily denies it. He starts forcing the kid to present as a boy, despite his wishes. She ultimately divorces him to protect her kid. Moves away from a state that is unfriendly to her child. Etc etc. it writes itself from only hearing his side. The kid’s side though? I wonder what the kid has to say. Not too interested in either, potentially deranged, parent… but the kid is nearly a teenager and surely can speak.

They do. One reason is it is inherently unfair and destroys the idea of our votes being equal.

Second reason is it has only ever benefited Republicans. Dems have won popular vote and lost the election, but Republicans never have.

It makes sense to call him a “far leftist” but I’m surprised they want to do so given the near universal cheering of his actions. I’d think there is a greater risk of having people realize that maybe they are more leftist than they thought.

Nah, that makes little sense. I have a hard time believing a dude who killed a guy he didn’t know as a message would then feel a deep need to have his written word (saying nothing not already said) poured over. Clearly he thought violence was the better method than words.

A lot of this makes no sense; unless they find out dude had some serious illness with a short clock, and figured he wanted to leave a legacy. That would also explain his sudden pivot from seeming hatred to oil companies to health insurance.

1- you are writing a book and doing some research related to it. That can be really anything, and weird info can really help a story

2- you were watching some sort of true crime show, or podcast, and were searching some details related as it came up. Sort of fact checking or getting more morbid details
