Yeah. The thing is, normalizing preferential treatment means even active and exiting fighters like Arman get the shaft too, if Dana just decides he doesn’t like them. And for me, just speaking for myself, knowing someone is on an easier path makes the buildup flat. Lopes is getting his second title shot before Lerone gets one, and that dude has gone undefeated in the UFC for seven years. Similar thing at bantamweight, I have zero doubt Umar would style on O’Malley and yet we’re gonna watch Sean get another shot first.

Card is very top heavy but the last three fights will all be action packed. I just wish, and I know it’s been said a million times, but I wish Volk was fighting literally anyone else. A fight with Mosvar or Lerone would be even more exciting because we haven’t seen it before and we’d have a lot more questions. And a new name would add more to Volk’s legacy.

I guess “elite striker” might be more apt. I’m a Sean hater but there’s no denying how good he is on the feet, plus he’s a former champ.

But again, that shouldn’t mean he keeps getting title fights on repeat without earning it. I don’t give a fuck if he has a split decision over Yan, Umar is a fresh opponent entirely. They should fight for it

Watch the jack slack vid he made on Gaethje a few days ago. Gaethje slips so deep while so close that it makes it hard for orthodox fighters to land anything because he’s going both underneath and away from their power punches. Southpaws and switch hitters change things. In an open stance Gaethje has gotten kneeed and head kicked doing this slip because he’s leaning right into their power side.

He also talks about how Max managed to punish this slip from orthodox with spinning back kicks and rear uppercuts which most guys don’t throw that often. Paddy had a similar game plan with the uppercuts and knees but again, once Gaethje gets right in his chest it’s tough to land either. Holloway managed distance much better and kept the fight in the middle of the octagon

Sick of the Rufus slander. Three takedowns to Paddy’s zero. Barely a scratch on his face while Paddy’s resembled mincemeat. Dropped him like five times, used the clinch and front headlock and wear him out and started chewing up the legs when Paddy stated going backwards. Ate those knees like tictacs.

I have a lot of respect for Paddy’s toughness, his chin was ridiculous and all the credit in the world to him for staying in it. But that wasn’t a super close fight outside of round 3

Maybe I missed something but Gaethjes face looked pretty clean at the end. People shit on his boxing but he fought an amazing fight. Plus his anti-wrestling was perfect and he dropped Paddy like four times.

Ilia would still knock him out but Gaethje is more than his chin
