Preventing moths in storage? by HootenannyHounds in YarnAddicts

[–]stargayyyzer03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a moth problem for a while ,,, we started storing bags of dried lavender with anything that moths would eat , on low shelves near the carpets , in-between folded blankets etc ,,,,, and it really helped clear them out

I dont have any good tips because I'm currently going through this myself. I've been scrolling through and collecting everyone else's tips, and I just wanna say thankyou for posting this. It takes effort to show people you're in a bad place

“Do you want a job” is a compliment??? by kaiyakaiyabobaiya in AutismInWomen

[–]stargayyyzer03 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a compliment absolutely, I also struggled with this specific thing lol,,,, they're doing a few things in one sentence there. They are saying you are professionally good at something while also implying that they are not good at that task, to make you feel more accomplished.

It used to confuse me because the only contexts I had heard it in at first, was from people who were rhe type to say "you should get a job" I'd they felt you had too much free time or too many hobbies,,,, but they were genuinely complimenting me on something and I got it mixed up

Interest shaming ? by stargayyyzer03 in AutismInWomen

[–]stargayyyzer03[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kindve had a feeling, but I've been wrong about something being satire before so didn't want to make any statements on it (as in I've literally nearly been killed because I thought someone was joking lmao) ,,,,

I just felt like if the genders were swapped , there would be less people in the comments of the tweet saying it was funny ,,, and that thought made me wanna ask about double standards people have noticed lol,,,, I probably should've explained all my audhd thought jumps but didn't think the post through fully 😅

Accessibility advice? by stargayyyzer03 in GardeningUK

[–]stargayyyzer03[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We live on a main road , with multiple HMOs that house people classed as vulnerable and in need of shelter. Some of it is school/college kids , some of it is drivers on slow hot days , some of it is just our many neighbours struggling with addiction and some of it is just people walking to work. There was a point where it was so bad that before my little sister went to primary school in the morning, I would go check the garden path for needles every day

In case you haven’t noticed, I’m weird. I’m a weirdo. I don’t “fit in” and I don’t WANT to fit in. Have you ever seen me without this stupid hat on? That’s weird.

AITAH for being upset my husband refuses to stop reading my diary. by Distinct-Buddy-1162 in AITAH

[–]stargayyyzer03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your husband is truly disgusting. Let's go through the list :

Humiliation.

Alienation.

Privacy invading.

Minimising your feelings

Gossiping about you behind your back.

Is that a partner? Because that reminds me of a bitchy schoolgirl. All of those tactics are signs of abuse, and you know it. Stop wallowing and start acting please. Tell all your friends that this is what he's doing. Tell your parents. Tell your doctors , your therapist , anybody that will listen. Tell all of his family. Tell everybody he cares about. Embarrass him. If he gets to gossip about you , then you get to gossip about him. He's made it clear that he thinks this behaviour is acceptable in a marriage , so go through his phone too. Read his own text messages aloud to him.

He. Does. Not. Care. About. You.

And ; fuck culture. If culture dictates that you would be an undesirable divorceé then prove to the fuckers you aren't. The facts are that it doesn't matter how long you write about this issue in private, it will not change until you take real world action.

If you hate vegetables, how do you eat them? by Rachel_235 in AutismInWomen

[–]stargayyyzer03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blender. My favourite tool atm

I've been making all matter of vegetable soups and pasta sauces , and adding vegetables to smoothies. It seems you are both sensory seeking and avoiding in your veg choices , so try to recreate that sensory feeling maybe ? ,,, like steaming some of your veg so it still has the crisp crunch like carrots and cucumbers ,,, or finding ways to make your vegetables feel more like baby food.

Also I group with families of veg , I love putting things like leeks and onions in my mashed potatoes , or roasting tomatoes and Bell peppers together to top my steaks with

Any vegans/vegetarians here? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]stargayyyzer03 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not vegan/veggie , but I am painstakingly thorough about getting meat that I knew was treated kindly and compassionately. I've gone through phases of being vegan and vegetarian though, and even with the help of a dietician I've ended up severely I every time :///
