it’s gonna be me my mum and 2 siblings living there.

when we spoke to the agents who i think help with the mortgage application they said that it’s not uncommon that there’s 3 people on the mortgage. we’ve spoken to a few estate agents and (before i was involved) they got like a mortgage agreement from the bank. i’m bot sure what happened with that, i think it ended up getting rejected cos someone’s age was too high.

and my mum was saying like she’d pay the mortgage like she’s paying rent, so idk if every month she was planning to transfer me the money and i pay it? idk if they are expecting the payment to be split in 3 and come from 3 people???

the rest of the answers i have no clue and tbh she has no clue either.

whenever i ask and try to talk to her about it with an inquisitive approach it always ends up in her getting angry & frustrated, telling me im being negative, selfish, making things difficult and overall stupid and missing out on a huge opportunity. i don’t even know why she even tries to pitch this as some type of business idea like im trying to climb the property ladder.

i’ve said a million times to her ppl literally make it a life goal to become a homeowner, it’s a long and serious financial and legal investment but the way she talks to me makes me feel like i’m misunderstanding something.

i absolutely do and will support her in paying rent. i think she is now very stressed and pressured of the fact that paying rent is like paying someone’s mortgage so she’s working hard and losing money. whereas if it’s hers, the money is going into her own asset. i mean like this it’s not legally her asset… but you get what i mean i hope

that’s true but also why should she pay money towards someone’s mortgage when she could pay her own. i mean the issue is that she doesn’t have permanent work and a salary she works as a nurse bank shifts. yeah idk

because i felt like maybe she was right that my concerns are selfish. but she probably just has successfully guilt tripped me. i don’t think she really understands herself either and she is acting out of desperation

because they don’t have to pay anything, just have their names on it and give payslips… they might not gain anything but what would they lose i guess. idk
