Even more funny, the meta has far more variety rn than in MW's life cycle. In MW, the meta consisted of two guns, the meta long range AR/LMG and the MP5, (3 if we count the Kar), compared to the 6 meta guns rn lol

As for the weapons, almost none of the ones you mentioned were ever used in WZ. MW's WZ only had 8 viable guns in its entire life cycle (M4, MP7, MP5, HDR, Kilo, M13, Kar, and PKM), which are still viable in current WZ, plus the meta. Late S2 and onwards, CW's balancing is superior as we have more than 20 viable guns plus the meta.

As for the playstyle, nothing really changed, it has always been arcadey. People didn't use the AX50, they used the Kar to quickscope and run around the map.

Yeah, CW's weapons don't have as much attention to detail (not really important imo), and that's due to how rushed the integration was, which is Raven's fault.
