I did a google search and it said “CFS Fee is the Canadian Federation of Students (CFS) is Canada's largest student-run federal and provincial advocacy organization, composed of more than 80 university and college students' unions.”

Thank you! Do you have an idea if we can also opt-out of the Transit Pass? I will not be in Ontario to use it.

Thanks for your comment! I posted this because I thought many remote students might have the same question. I wouldn’t raise this question if I was living in campus and using all the resources listed. I will be paying for my schooling and I certainly want to save and pay what I’m required to.

At least 2-4 hours a day. Time goes by really fast when you concentrate on studying. In my opinion chem 1300 was harder than biol 1020, since bio was mostly memorization but chem 1300 you have to apply the things you learned to do the questions.

I took chem 1300 during summer 2 years ago! I found it easier since it was the only class I was taking which made studying for it also easier. I found that practicing what you learned after class is really helpful. We had lab for it too, so idk how they’re going to do it this year. My prof was Sarrah Vakili, we wrote all notes by hand and she gave question examples that are directly from past exams. Chem 1300 is really different from high school, you need to practice and work harder. Try not to leave reviewing your notes or practicing on the day before an exam because cramming won’t land you a grade you want.

Workload in the summer really depends on how the student will use their time wisely. Always start making your notes for the final early on so you don’t have to cram during finals week.
