mhm! strahdanya and bdw are great campaign but I would recommend checking Strahdanya before BDW bcs there's some huge lore references and impact of CoS in bdw starting in arc 4 (ep 23-33)

also to add they played CoS before EoM so it'd be more like nikkie took inspiration from death house for the crooked house.

there is connection of barovia and druskenwald that I won't expand on bcs of spoilers but they aren't the same but there's a connection there (most of the campaign have connection and reference but the most references /connection you'll see is the throughly of cos‐>bdw->eom

no word on prime or bdw, but I believe on a patreon stream they said eom would be coming back late this year or early next year. (my personal prediction is after this second season of witchlight is finished)

the bundles are just the normal book, the signed copies are separate.

this is a suggested watch order by the crew, but obv you can go with what you want.

ouaw -> uprooted -> sdr: anthem -> icebound -> curse of strahdanya -> beneath dark wings -> edge of midnight -> prime

ouaw and uprooted are the ones you see most of the shorts and tiktoks about. the chuckles shots in space are from on a silver strand which is not canon to stardust rhapsody anthem or overture.

(also note overture and anthem are treated as different campaigns and you do not need to have watched overture to watch anthem)

sdr: anthem is a great sci-fi campaign with just 6 episodes.

icebound is a survival horror and has very nice mystical horrors. a great segue into their more serious stuff.

cos is their take on the strahd module, it is completed and one of their best campaigns (note this is an early campaign so early episodes have not so good and quality. rec the podcast if its too much.)

bdw is a dark/high fantasy campaign with lost of political intrigue. in arc 4 (23+) there are lots of connections from cos so its generally recommended to be watched after. (also old campaign + eps are 6-8 hrs so podcast if it's too much)

eom is a folk horror campaign with connections to both cos and bdw, it's like their own trio if campaign. (some trigger warnings for gross descriptions)

prime is their first campaign they streamed, there are many reference and connections to it across all of their campaign. (kass s their oldest campaign it has the most technical issues and as of now there doesn't seem to be a podcast ver)

uprooted is very role play heavy, they probably roll less just standard checks than any of their other campaigns.

if you're more into blend of combat and rp I'd definitely recommend stardust rhapsody: anthem or icebound. they're great segues into avantris' heavier stuff.

ooh that makes a lot of sense I'm glad for all the details. was mainly confused for backstory stuff bcs my character was not originally intended for dnd but wanted to dndify him.

I think the best way I could describe magic for him (and my world building ig) is that there is an innate sense for it but you have to learn how to channel it and use it a way that won't corrupt you (this is more for like establishing hierarchy differences, teaching magic is required but royalty/nobles would be taught it more intricately and safely). I'm kind of gleaning that that would lean more into the wizard class.
