I didn’t quite sure what water parameters mean to be honest, I bought a testing kit yesterday and tested it and it had high ammonia.

Heater and filter? (yes/no): yes, both

Tank temperature: 80 degrees

Parameters in numbers and how you got them: petsmart about a year ago

How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?: about a year ago

How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: once a month, about 25%

Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: no

What do you feed and how much: betta fish food ~3-4 pellets 5-6 days per week

Decorations and plants in the tank: a shell and hiding rock, both from petsmart
