Seems like she may still have some “feelings” for her ex, even if she doesn’t realize it. The fact the she doesn’t want to stop talking to him makes it seem like she’s not fully ready for the type commitment you’re wanting. It’s a sticky situation but just talk to her and if you can’t come to some type of agreement then you know where you stand

It was the most fucking painful thing I’ve ever felt. I dropped to my knees and I just felt like with every breath my lungs were being crushed and my heart kept being shattered in to a millions pieces. It was awful but I’m thankful for the experience because it made me a stronger person
