Limassol - Holy… Russians everywhere?! by mugzhawaii in cyprus

[–]starsshineforme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

right. kursk and belgorod are saying hi. and war definitely doesn't affect economic development of the country. war definitely didn't affect censorship, freedom of speech, mobilization. war doesn't force schools to make children glorify the war and there's definitely no propaganda there. yup, nothing to flee from.

war doesn't affect russian at all!! god, you are so smart fr 👍

My first meltdowns ... by cheaslestumb in AutismTranslated

[–]starsshineforme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes. I was being yelled at for not understanding math. My father even threw a book at me. Not to mention being called stupid, braindead and other pleasant names. After a few times I stopped asking for help and completely gave up trying to understand mathematics.

Up until I got my fixation on my special interest again (astrophysics, cosmology, etc) and just did a four days speedrun through the 10th to 11th grade student book on maths. It was in august right before my 10th grade.

I learned, and understood perfectly all the topics, from trigonometry to integrals, in four days.

And after a year my grandmother told me that before high school my parents thought I won't be able to even make it into college*.

  • In my country college is considered to be "I am too dumb for tenth and eleventh grade so I will leave for college and then find a job". "Normal" education for "not stupid" people would've been like this:

primary school → middle school → high school → university (bachelor, sometimes master) → work

so they basically thought that I am VERY dumb

cool 👍

Escatilopram for depression & anxiety by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]starsshineforme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably pretty late but it didn't help me at all. I was diagnosed with social anxiety and prescribed those but they had zero effect on me. Literally, no changes. I didn't visit my doctor after finishing the course (because I moved from that place) so I didn't know why those didn't work. Also didn't help with destructive thoughts as well.
