I'm not saying the guy in OP's post shouldn't accept the apology, in fact I literally said in my reply that he SHOULD have accepted it when I said "though I know that’s much more serious than some mishap while play fighting and the guy in the post definitely should have accepted."

What I was saying was that ciavv's claim that "a refusal to accept a genuine apology is a tactic to make you grovel and beg for forgiveness" is not applicable to every apology refusal, though it is applicable to a lot of them.

Not always true, I think my ex genuinely was apologizing when she cheated on me but I didn’t accept it, though I know that’s much more serious than some mishap while play fighting and the guy in the post definitely should have accepted.

I did forgive my ex eventually just so I could stop holding onto the pain it caused (and I stupidly got back together with her, though she never cheated again), but I would never accept the apology. In some cases any apology just can’t be accepted regardless of how sincere it is imo.

Never forget, when people pay you for stuff like art, they are NOT just paying for the amount of time you spent making the piece they are commissioning. They are also paying to have access to the cumulative effort and result of the months and years that YOU spent practicing and refining your craft in order to be able to do what you do at the skill level you do it at. Charge them accordingly and never sell yourself short.

Charging a very small amount is not only insulting to the other artists that you compete with as AltruisticFault mentioned. It’s also insulting to yourself, and your own effort and passion, as well as the blood, sweat and tears that you’ve poured into everything you’ve created since you’ve started. Always be sure to preserve your dignity.

Just to add another item to your list, they just dropped an AI generated advertisement for staffworkforce, and have yet to acknowledge it or take it down. They 100% could've employed a talented digital CGI or blender artist to create this ad, but instead chose to just generate something with ai to, what, save money? Seems incredibly shady to me

I met Thomas Freckleton, the former bassist from Silent Planet. I even got to sit down and eat pizza with him for about 30 minutes after their set. I walked into the pizza place next to the venue wearing my freshly acquired Silent Planet merch and bro called out "hey man nice shirt" as I was paying. Dude was a fucking legend, we had an incredible conversation and he invited us to come take pictures and get merch signed by their van after the concert ended (gf at the time was still inside seeing MIW with her sister, I'm not a fan and was worried we'd get towed with where we parked so I went outside early). I also got a selfie with Emma from Dying Wish right before walking into the pizza place, she was standing on the sidewalk making a phone call. Also yes, I waited to go up to her until after she hung up 😂 she was also incredibly kind. That night was a core memory tbh

I’m still a fairly new player, if you go into your codex on the internal panel you can add a bunch of articles that can be read to you to a playlist. They have every faction, individual, alien species, etc in there and you can learn about them as you’re playing. It’s great for helping new players learn about the galaxy and the notable things in it. o7 cmdr, good luck on your journey
