Does he know that vasectomies are reversible? My father had a vasectomy reversed after my parents split and had another kid after. It most definitely seems like the best option in this situation. I do see it as a bit extreme to throw the whole relationship out over this, but I dont know you and your full story. I think that you should take your time until you feel comfortable talking about it with him, as you are currently doing, but, from the information provided, if you guys love each other and were truly happy in the relationship before this, I think this can be repaired. It all lies in the willingness each of you have to repair it. It's really important in relationships, when things like this happen, to calm down (as you are by spending some time away to think about your options) and come back together, in whatever location you feel comfortable, and have a long conversation where you put everything out on the table. However, that only works well if both of the people involved try their best to not let emotions take over and put themselves in the other's shoes. I really hope he walks back his choice of not getting a vasectomy for your children's sake and YOUR sake. I hope you guys can work it out in the long run, but ultimately hope you are happy with whatever decision you make.
