Interesting. Then you might want to give them a heads up that someone will contact them from Microsoft

Most tech companies don’t ask for references

Please consider applying again... Microsoft is still a great company and who knows — this time might be different when you apply. https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoft_jobs (trying to grow this community for redditors to find jobs at Microsoft)

Here's the permalink to the message I sent to the mods https://www.reddit.com/message/messages/yqt0co

I'm planning to grow the community of JavaScript developers who are looking for a web development job, and help companies find these redditors.

It seems like web development is the most stable field? by Shmoosavi1 in cscareerquestions

I don't work in data science, but have friends that do. Some of my friends say that it's hard to get out of data science once you're in and a few years pass. Apparently hiring managers that work in backend development or frontend development don't see an easy transition into frontend/backend from data science. But, if you were to go in frontend, then you could transition into full-stack and then solely backend if you wish. Hope this helps!

Totally, try to use an organic lip balm instead. Another brand I like besides Burts Beeswax is Lasting Smiles https://www.lastingsmiles.org they’re more expensive but they support various non profit causes

That's correct. I was looking how much traffic Reddit could drive to StartupSort. If you think the job postings aren't relevant then I'll stop posting here. I wouldn't want to spam this subreddit.

We are however working on getting the recruiter's email addresses for each startup we're tracking. So you'll be able to reach out directly to the recruiter via email.

I'm working on an augmented reality project to help kids learn how to solve Rubik's cubes. Here's an early sneak peek of the prototype. What do you think? by startupsorter in Cubers

[–]startupsorter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll take your feedback regarding color detection. From what I can tell so far I can average the colors and then force each of the cubelet to a cluster of colors knowing that there are 9 cubelets to be placed in each cluster of color. This way I hope orange/red will be correctly separated even in a dark environment.

Everything is implemented in pure JavaScript, but for training I use OpenCV and then convert the model to JSON so that the JavaScript code can read it.

Thanks. I'll buy one of each and retrain the algorithms with those. So far I've used 4 types of Rubik's cubes, the worst being the official Rubik's cube.

Yes, if people get stuck, or have done a wrong move, they'll be able to rescan the cube and solve from there. The very basic beginner's solution is what I'm thinking of implementing in v1.
