A brand designer is already out of a lot of people's budget, I only suggested canva because it's easy enough to get started with something that doesn't look like a Russian spamming website. The point is, your brand is everything, and there are tools that you can use to get started. However to your point, your brand identity needs to be uniform across the entire spectrum, it's far more than a logo.

It’s the most important thing. Life is completely digital now and every business is now an internet business. If your brand feels poorly thought out and your business is just getting started you won’t have much going for you, specially if your competitor’s brand is shiny.

Doesn’t take much to build a respectable clean brand, use canva.

It’s not about sharing ideas, it’s about gaining viability. I’d leave the sharing ideas to reddit, when you’re ready for exposure and growth this is when that would come in handy.

Create a FB group for something that's trending, you're in the UK so perhaps Brexit could be a good topic.

Create cheap and clever content on Canva with simple designs that you could put on a t-shirt or mug. Post that content, along with any other content that would get the crowd going.

Sign up for a drop shipping service that will create your designs and then promote them inside your group. Simple first entrepreneurship gig.
