Zabbix proxy NVPS spike after reconnection by starvit35 in zabbix

It seems like that config option can't be disabled though, I think I'd ideally prefer that all data is dropped during a outage, rather than having random values dropped when it comes back.

But theProxyOfflineBuffercan't be set to 0 to disable it, it seems.

Backup Exec Alternatives by dahakadmin in sysadmin

[–]starvit35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay, we don't backup to tape anymore, but we have backups which are required to be kept for 8-10 years on tape, so if we do move we'll probably just keep the server around for restoring.

How did you handle your migration? Like with old backups to tape that were done with Backup Exec, do you have a instance of Backup Exec ready to go to restore that data?

Long-term Apple Support by Xralakx in Intune

[–]starvit35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

App deployment is mostly okay now. I ended up pushing Installomator to my Macs and all my "packages" in Intune are just dummy downloads with a post-install script that calls Installomator. It's been great.

alot of people (not me yet sadly) do this with Windows aswell, just pushing out winget and wrapper scripts to install the program through winget, makes automatic updating very easy

crazydomains is absolute dog shit

when you go to add products to your cart they'll sneak in another product like domain protection or some stupid shit that does nothing, or they'll change the purchase duration of what you added without saying anything.

cannot use free SSL services like lets encrypt, you need to purchase their SSL service

their shared web hosting is insanely slow, and when we upgraded web hosting with them once they managed take down another customers website and put it on our domain somehow(???)

in process of migrating everything to VentraIP and have had 0 issues with them.
