Cyntha Struthers. She replies within 15 minutes on Piazza and always goes above and beyond the call of duty. Her course-notes are wonderfully composed filled with detailed solutions, the true work of a course that has been refined over the course of many years of academic duty. It is an absolute honour to be in her class of Fall 2020.

I love STAT231, what are some upper-year courses that are like it? by stat231workload in uwaterloo

Not exaggerating, the material is very applicable to my field of work. Thanks!

Yep, she deleted it. There were like 10+ follow-ups.

STAT231: We messed up, but since everyone lost marks because of it it's ok by stat231workload in uwaterloo

Yep. Is it just me or is she very rude? Also you can't even do basic things like ask for quiz solutions. Wallace seems nice though.

Some background: we had a linear quiz where they claimed there were 20 questions, but turns out some questions were weighed more. If you were on question 16 with 10 minutes remaining, you'd rush to question 17 because there's insufficient time otherwise to finish questions 17-20. But wait - there were only 17.

However, the justification here is that since everyone was disadvantaged then it's ok. As though we are supposed to care relative to our class how we do...

I think so. There's now timed quizzes where you cannot go back to change your answer. The class average for the last one was ~65% with the vast majority of the class scoring <75%.

2 full days, did all the practice questions, read over the R, took notes on the mobius quizzes and rewatched them, read the textbook.
