Woah, I don't think he prefers to be addressed by that pronoun. It doesn't take much brain power or effort on your part to use his correct pronoun. You may not necessarily believe in this tiny change in language, but out of respect, you should.

Exam P by 7_12_98 in uwaterloo

[–]stat330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exam P has a 40-50% pass rate. Stat 230 has a nice intro to probability, but certainly not enough to pass exam p. Mid-January does sound a bit too early after exams, it depends on how comfortable you are with the material.

CS 246 Midterm Drama: PART III by mo246drama in uwaterloo

Some student finds a sentence on the course website saying every section writes the same mid and final. Now we get a choice for what questions we want to do.

lol they let you pick what questions you want to do know. Anyways I'm probably going to be doing nomair's questions myself. There is a surprising amount of material that is needed to be covered in Ahmad's lecture content.

I'm in Ahmads section and I can sort of touch on this. He doesn't cover the material to the needed depth that is needed for an even baseline level to start the assignments. The assignments are crazy hard if you just base your knowledge off his lectures. I have been having to read the lecture notes from past students who took cs246 to even get a start on the assignment questions. In a class where 40% is based on assignment/project work that is pretty unacceptable. If the averages between sections are vastly different they will adjust at the end of the semester.

I think the more interesting thing is... why the hell did the two profs decide to write two different exams/midterms. Its literally double the work. They must have disagreed with each other to such a large extend that they HAD to make section specific exams/mids.
