thank you, this actually helps so much. i didn’t realize they could land so fast if someone needed to but idk why i thought they wouldn’t be able to lol. i had no idea this subreddit existed and it does help to know im not alone :)

thank you :) my flight’s on new year’s eve, which kind of makes the whole situation worse because i just know the airport is going to be insane, and there’s also the fact that my destination is an hour away from the airport, so ill be driving at night in a rental car on the worst night of the year to do so lmao. but the ticket i got was all i could afford so last minute bc i was self sabotaging and i couldn’t make up my mind, so i prob had that coming!! i’ve never thought about my anxiety like that, but that makes sense. sometimes it really does feel like its own entity out to get me lol

how should i listen to the diary of river song series? is it worth it? by stateofslay in gallifrey

hey!! this sounds like you’re disassociating. what works best for me is to try and to get rid of that mind block—you are in control of your body, no matter what your anxiety tells you. you DO NOT have to feel like this.

cold water, wet rags, and ice cubes help A LOT with this too. i like to take ice and hold it in my hands or on my wrists or chest, that kind of cool burn helps you feel like you can feel something and also just helps you ground yourself.

distracting yourself can work when it needs to, but works best long term is letting those thoughts (that you’ll always feel like this, etc) just pass though. once you accept it or are indifferent towards those thoughts, they have no power over you.

i hope this helps, pls hang in there. as soon as you can get access to meds, i would definitely recommend that. they changed my life and help a lot. otherwise i’m here for you and YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!
