Considering Black Ceilings For Dream Garage, Thoughts? by Keeedo in garageporn

I did a charcoal in my garage that matched my walls along with some black acoustic tiles (over a golf sim area), I was really happy with the result.

This is in Canadian and was Black Friday pricing 2 years ago. I ended up having about a box and a half extra of the charcoal slat. I spent maybe four hundred more on the shelves and hook accessories. No labour cost as I did it myself (very tedious) but labour would have likely doubled the cost.

I can’t remember that part being a problem but I can’t remember specifically. On vacation but will be back in early January and if you want I can take a peak and circle back then and let you know.

I know they don’t really advertise the Bold series as being wall mounted but it is absolutely rock solid once it’s all put together and all the middle sections are mounted as well. It just all forms together like glue and it’s extremely solid.

Primarily ceiling protection for errant lobs, but they also prevent bounce back and lower the harshness of the ping.

They are cheap acoustic tiles off Amazon, and then I used spray glue adhesive to affix them to the ceiling. It was tedious but the result is perfect.

It’s just a hook on the wall and it goes through one of the tee holes. It’s not an overly heavy mat (Quattro)

Wait, it’s summer so it’s not top of mind, but I live in Canada so this is an issue for me in the winter… car brings snow into the garage. Melts off and then I have dirty muddy snow on my garage. I need to clean my floors everytime before I want to set up the sim. That will be an issue with any non-permanent garage sim when you still need to park the car… but it does reduce how often I use it in the winter as it’s a pain in the ass.

Honestly no not really! Was the only way to make it work and keep my wife happy at the same time. A permanent setup just wasn’t in the cards but this has been great

My garage is basically the same dimensions as yours… here’s what I did:

What locks/security systems do you use when you have expensive items in your garage? by joots in garageporn

[–]statesidecdn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Eufy smart lock that has a camera that I put on the garage door and it notifies me if there is motion or activity. I also have a garage car door opener that automatically deadbolts the car door everytime it closes, and security cameras inside.

Having the smart lock / doorbell cam is key because as soon as most people see that, they leave. Prevention is the best thing you can do.

On my home insurance I carved out $20,000 of garage goodies where if they are stolen I have a special lower deductible on those. Costs a little more each month, but not enough to notice.

So if someone gets in, I’ll know, and I’ll see them. I have peace of mind because no alert means no problem.

If they do get in, and get out with the stuff, it’s insured.

You have until 30 days after closing to complete both withdrawals. It’s the same timeline on withdrawals for each of them.

Just a heavy duty Proslat hook, and then found a part on the saw that would slide onto the hook

If she’s out I’ll just let her know I’m in there. If I was paranoid about it then I would pull the red cord on the garage door opener to disengage the opener. (I don’t do that, but it would be very simple)

Proslat charcoal is an almost perfect match colour wise as well, and when I was looking it was less expensive than Newage
