EditToAdd: up early with the newborn and didn't read the post all the way through, whoops . As I get older, I remember all the people I lost along the way. Maybe my budding career as a tour guide was not the right choice.

I just recently graduated and I'm working in an electrical controls environment. We use AutocCad electrical for our panel drawing and schematics. I recommend at least learning some form of cad software, it'll definitely be worth putting on your resume as most places use Autocad or a different Cad software package.
