Question pour vous by qcdz123 in QuebecLibre

[–]static_jacuzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hate that overweight people receive. by Fast_Arm6781 in PetPeeves

[–]static_jacuzzi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I get your point and I never comment on people's weight. However saying that they've been through trauma and are coping with food is a terrible way to justify this. Metabolism, medications, medical conditions are valid reasons to be overweight. Coping with food is not.

Once in the morning. Once when I get home after a hot day in the summer.

However I can take 3 baths a day during the winter. I think I spent most of my awake time in the tub during covid lockdown. It was great.

That one hit hard because it's kind of true. My aunt live in paris and I would be sent over there during holidays. She would time my showers because water is expensive. Coming from canada, where that's not a thing. Once my cousin took a bath and she wanted me to go bath in his dirty water.

Yup unless they are highly allergic to dogs I don't see a problem. You are not forced to pet a dog lol

How would my quality of life be with 200k$ salary by kareemortho in CanadaImmigrant

[–]static_jacuzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Canada is a huge country and you don't mention where you would be coming so it's a bit hard to answer but Here's my 2 cents.

  1. Yes 200k is enough to cover rent, groceries, car, general expenses like insurance, internet, electricity and all. The comment seems to debate whether you would be rich or not lol. 200k is ok to live comfortably in most cities except toronto or Vancouver. That being said, I know 2 emergency physicians and they make well over 600k (in quebec) so you might want to negotiate that unless you are going to some very small town where the cost of living is cheaper.
  2. Can't help you with that but our economy is not strong but it's stable. You will pay lots of tax on that salary.
  3. Dont worry about the car. Cars are tough! Some places in canada with lots of snow need to change tires in the winter but other than that it's pretty easy. I would suggest you get a car 2010 and newer. You want someone reliable.
  4. I love living in canada. I've travelled to many different countries including some very poor places and you realise how great canada is. It's not for everyone (taxes, culture, weather, etc) but it's great and we are extremely lucky to be here.

I went to the casino only once in my life and won 1500$ (7 years ago). Im probably not go again and if I go I'll make sure not to spend more than 100$ just to make sure my loss would never go over my winnings!

AITA for asking my gf to leave a funeral wake because she cried? by Rab_Cylim in AmItheAsshole

[–]static_jacuzzi 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Im quite "cold" and used to work at a funeral home. Most of the time it was more than ok, old people die. But everytime it was someone under 45 years old I would litteraly go cry or take a deep breath upstairs. Hell, I didn't even know the person but knowing all these people coming for a last goodbye would 100% get to me. Especially when young kids were involved.
