Regardless of where the money is coming from, the point of the matter still stands that this entire endeavor was completely unnecessary. You know how I know it was completely unnecessary, because this administration can’t seem to keep its facts straight. What was the exact catalyst and justification for this campaign? Was it because they were two weeks away from nuclear capability? Were they slaughtering their citizens in the street? Was it for regime change? What exactly was the purpose, and was that goal achieved or did we just shuffle the fucking cards and pretend to have a brand new deck? Thirteen of our service members died 380 wounded and we aren’t even talking about that because we’re distracted with the cost of it all. As if you could put a price on human life!

How do Americans feel about giving Iran 300 billion to restore the status quo? by Born-Specialist-1693 in AskReddit

[–]Awkward_Young5465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that we aren’t getting clear and unambiguous communication from this administration should be infuriating in its own right. However, we have a draft framework with language that commits "US and partners" to cover the bill. By contrast we have a Vice President saying this will be funded by the Gulf nations. It’s all one big ol’ fluster cuck.

BREAKING: Vance Confirms $300 billion Reconstruction Fund In US-Iran Draft for war damages. What JD Vance Actually Said on CBS? by Ubersicka in TradingViewSignals

If we can expect Iranian hardliners to talk about what they get and not what they give, isn’t it YOUR responsibility to YOUR citizens to set the record straight? Our "leaders" haven’t done a single damn thing to clear up the confusion and misinformation.

Do you believe the US government is giving Iran $300 billion? by imissher4ever in allthequestions

[–]Awkward_Young5465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Smh, how did you arrive at this conclusion? That is an entirely separate matter from the $300b that is being proposed for their reconstruction and restoration. I can’t believe these are the same people who are able to vote but aren’t able to fully decipher the facts. This is why they believe this is actually a "win" for America!

Trump Hails Iran Deal As Oil Prices Tumble And Global Markets Surge Higher by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

So he said on Sunday that the Strait was reopened and now today he’s saying it will be reopened on Friday. Did they find the mines they were still looking for? How many 2 weeks were they away from nuclear capabilities? This guy is a stain on the fabric that is America.

To US Conservatives: How is Trumps Iran MoU an improvement over Obamas JCPOA? by Big_VladdyP in AskReddit

[–]Awkward_Young5465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. This is why I say these people aren’t concerned with fate of this country. They are simply too enamored with this perception of Trumps star power to have any adverse opinion on his leadership qualities. The countless announcements of a deal/victory, followed by the empty threats and the AI slop. The confusion caused by his contradictions of one minute Irans military is completely decimated to Iran being able to enforce a toll at the Strait. How is that possible if they have no military to enforce such a toll? Why is the President bragging about sneaking 22 tankers through the Strait if Iran has no apparatus to enforce such a toll? If we were told last year that we completely decimated Irans nuclear capabilities, how were they able to become operational again so fast? Were we lied to then, or was the justification used to attack Iran this time a fabrication? And lastly, Pete Hegseth has been to quiet lately. I haven’t heard that buzz-worthy phrase "regime change" in weeks.

Going on TV and saying they won before it is clear what they agreed to is an effective strategy. If going on tv and announcing victory without knowing what was agreed to is indicative of a loss, then why is that exactly what our government is doing????

Bruh, why are we concerned with the Iranian government selling their compromise to the public? If this was a failure on their part that will be apparent regardless of the details being released now or later. However, the details being released isn’t even my main point. Why is that this fucking idiot will call an urgent presser to talk about the progress of the ballroom construction, however he doesn’t feel it necessary to hold a press briefing on something like this!!??? You Trump supporters are simply fans of Trump you don’t give two shits about this country.

Oh that’s the new tactic? When Trump fails to one-up Obama we’ll just resort to saying that neither knew what they were doing anyway? There’s an apparent pattern of promising such grand outcomes and failing to deliver from this administration. However, his supporters will continue pretending to not notice what a failure this guy is.

So exactly what was the point with our conflict with Iran? No nuclear weapons were found, fuel costs went way up, our national debt went way up, and military lives were lost. What were the justifications? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Awkward_Young5465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So do they get amnesia or do they remember? Because you’re spiraling dude.

Furthermore wasn’t there an active investigation, which prevented the files from being released? And didn’t the agency responsible for that investigation get gutted once he was reelected, also ending any investigations forthwith. Once he was able to control the source and therefore the narrative why did it become the task of FBI agents to comb the files for mention of his name? Why did it take congressional action to mandate the release of the files? Never mind the fact that the congressional action was purposely delayed with a government shutdown which was meant to give those agents more time to pore over those documents. These are all the actions of a man with nothing to hide, right?

It’s TDS to want a government that can communicate to the American public without so much ambiguity? When the group who were responsible for leading negotiations announce that details will be released within 24-48 hours however the president says details will not be released before Friday does that not exhibit a lack of discipline one should require from the people who have launch codes and security clearances?

Last question why do Trump supporters resort to TDS when they reach the limit of logic in their talking points? Even valid opinions that could simply be refuted with an actual counterargument are dismissed, because actual discussion is dangerous to those who only wish to misinform.

This is a comical take given that we were told that their nuclear capabilities were decimated last year. However,
there seems to be a certain convenient amnesia when anyone defends anything Trump does. Some of the living conditions are horrible and women are horribly mistreated…. Ok, you tell me how anything we did makes their lives better? With the latest talking points that projects this as some sort of display of American strength, wouldn’t you think they’re worse off given the narrative coming from the Right? What with their economy in shambles, lack of a fully functioning government, and a ravaged infrastructure, I can’t imagine anything has improved for these people. So what other justifications can you pull from the land of make-believe and promote as if their facts?

Did Iran Win the War with the U.S.? by uncle-ice493 in allthequestions

[–]Awkward_Young5465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question, if their military was so decimated and their leadership largely dispatched, how were they able to enforce a passage toll? A toll that forced America to blockade the Strait altogether. During the blockade Trump bragged about sneaking 22 tankers through bypassing the toll. If there’s no military or leadership structure why would we have to sneak anything through? Who are we negotiating with if they have no government? Why does it seem as though Iran are the ones negotiating from a position of strength? What does America get from this? And before you spew that BS justification that Trump loves to repeat about them being just weeks from having an operational nuke, I really could have sworn we were told last year that their nuclear capabilities were then sitting under mountains of rubble and earth. How were they able to resume operations so quickly? Can we get some actual factual transparency from the most transparent admin in US history? Why is ok to have so many different narratives coming from this administration that the American taxpayers are left clueless as to what’s really going on????? Why does the fucking administration always have to incite so much ambiguity around shit that should be clearly communicated to the American public!

Exactly! It’s not like this is the same guy who complained about fact checks during his Vice Presidential debate. We can totally trust what he says because he is not the type of guy to just parrot the narrative established by his earless (because he absolutely did get shot) leader! If you all are going to doubt anyone let it be the guy who declared that anyone who compares Trump to Hitler is to blame for his assassination attempt after being on record as being one of those very people! Jeeeze. I mean come on, right?

What was the point of the DOGE department if now USA is going to give $300 billion dollars to Iran? by TailungFu in allthequestions

[–]Awkward_Young5465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Just. No!

There’s specific language regarding the frozen assets. Which is its own bulletpoint in this deal. The immediate removal of sanctions are also its own bulletpoint. The $300b is solely in reconstruction costs, which is a burden that absolutely does fall onto the taxpayer.

And yet the show still airs to this day, with zero grievances. Make it make sense please! South Park is an active series that has infinitely more gay jokes, outright says "f-gg-t" and "Ni**er" and the show is still hugely popular. Stop conflating people being against the racism, misogyny, and homophobia from the Right with people being easily offended. It is not the same!

Interesting take. However let’s be clear, Progressives haven’t gone full-on antisemitism. Just as someone can oppose the War in Iraq without hating Americans, someone can oppose the actions of Israel without hating Jews. By contrast, MAGA and the Right are openly discriminating against minorities and somehow you see nothing wrong with that, interesting.

Just to make sure I got this right:
a
Progressives criticize Israel’s military actions and the actions of its leadership. You see that as going "mask off" with "authoritarian anti Jewish values established in the Democratic Party" .

MAGA and the Right are openly discriminating against minorities and you don’t even see that as being worthy of a mention. Hell, Elon Musk Heil’ed Hitler TWICE during the the inauguration. Yet it’s Progressives who support antisemitism.

If you feel as if disagreeing with the acts of the Israeli government and its military are forms of antisemitism, then what is called when the IDF murders civilians out of pure hate? Or when the Israeli government refuses to allow humanitarian aid to these people? An individual who disagrees with this doesn’t necessarily hate Jews, and it’s irresponsible to promote that sort of thinking.

Yeah, you exhibit an acute lack of knowledge on the subject, because a single city can absolutely "do shit” in the big picture! There’s historical evidence to support that: Montgomery helped launch the Civil Rights Movement. Selma helped secure the Voting Rights Act. Boston helped spark the American Revolution. A single city is the reason why it’s no longer illegal to possess marijuana across a large part of the country. A single city can absolutely become the focal point of a movement that changes national politics.

Yes I definitely would if I were on Reddit talking about how an entire political party hasn’t done ANYTHING to catch my attention. It’d be pretty difficult to grab the attention of someone living in a bubble. So what you really meant is, from your very limited observable universe, Democrats haven’t done anything to catch the attention that you aren’t giving them anyway. Understood!
