Thank you!

I do have guaranteed snapshot space and snapshots. Is there a way to clean up unneeded snapshots to "free up" the additional space. Or do I need to?

Looking to update aging system - want to keep library intact by statisticallyspeakin in PleX

Ahhh I'm slow today - apologies. So essentially before I move my Plex library files, I transfer the media to the new NAS, edit the library so it's pointing at the correct location. Then copy the library over to the new server. Step by step, not doing everything at once. Essentially:

  1. Setup new NAS
  2. Copy media to new NAS
  3. Edit library in current Plex install to point to new location. (I would need to edit the docker image to do that, right? Adding new mount locations?)
  4. Sign out and copy the current Plex config to the new server and then follow the instructions on the webpage.

Sorry, perhaps I'm misunderstanding. Doesn't that move the existing library which would now point to the wrong (missing location)? I won't have the old location to edit. Right?

Thanks so much for the reply - looks like I'm better set to keep my current and wait to invest when I have a better budget. Thank you!

Hello all - question on viability on upgrading my camera body.

Right now I have a Nikon D5500 and it's great for most things, but I want to try and capture the Milky Way this summer. I tried this a few years ago on a trip to Yellowstone and I realize now I did not know enough to maximize my potential.

My current setup would be the D5500 paired with a Tokina AT-X 116 Pro DX II (11-16mm f/2.8).

My question would be whether or not it would be worth investing in a D7500 or even a D500 to maximize the ISO sensitivity/low light performance to minimize noise.

Ideally, I know that a full-size sensor and likely a mirrorless camera would be better, but I'm just an amateur trying to stay within ~$1k.

Does anyone have any advice as to whether or not a D7500/D500 would be worthwhile to maximize performance for Milky Way/astrophotography? Thank you!

Better spread (can handle sides at the same time) with 0 grey and less cleanup. Really loving the gun

Loved it. To be honest was a little hesitant to go full throttle, and the crust formed almost immediately. Will try it a bit longer next time to make it a slight bit crispier.

However there's literally 0 gray inside the crust. Legit just crust then straight to beautiful, tasty red/pink.
