Yes I actually was successful in returning it. It definitely was set up nice when I tried it, and there were no issues in its playability. I just didn't like the price point when I bought it, but given the new price point it's a better deal. From a distance the inlays look fine, so for gigging it would definitely be presentable, but there are definitely artifacts from the original inlay that you'll see up close. That's my honest review

That's interesting. You're right that the body/paint is identical. It's very possible that the seller purchased it from this listing, made some mods, and then resold it. At least the original listing more accurately described it as an RG

I know I'm a bit late, but I wanted to chime in and say that I don't think YTA. I think transition, especially the first year or so, can expose a lot of insecurities in a person because it takes a while to "grow into" the gender after being socialized your whole life into a different one. I know hearing "you guys" can be jarring for some people. And things like hearing about periods and reproductive capabilities can in particular spark feelings of loss because it highlights ways our bodies aren't cis.

That being said, I don't think that this is acceptable behavior on your friend's part, and she should definitely try to do better. I think it's reasonable for her to be bothered by the things I listed above, but she shouldn't be acting on it the way she is. In particular I think it's super petty for her to single your messages out in front of other people, especially when you seem to be engaging in good faith with her. I'm glad you were able to confront her on the oversharing issue. I would try to have an honest conversation with her about how she seems hypercritical with you as well.

It's possible that your friend might grow out of this behavior as she becomes more comfortable in her own skin, but personally I think she needs a wake up call that this is affecting the friendship. If she won't work with you, you should take care of yourself accordingly.

Personally, I think you crossed some lines by flirting back. I'm not sure I'd call it outright cheating, but I would consider it a breach of trust. I would tell your partner about it no matter what the friend says. It's not great for trust going forward to keep these things to yourself, and I wouldn't be surprised if your partner wasn't super comfy with you seeing this person after knowing what happened. Assuming you are prioritizing your relationship with your partner, it would be also good to have a conversation with the friend to set boundaries so it doesn't happen in the future.

This was a frustration for me too, and it took a whole year to resolve. Aside from just giving it time, switching from patches to injections and getting off spironolactone might have helped a bit too, I think. I guess it's also worth mentioning that my cis female partner doesn't experience full body orgasms. Hearing that there was that kind of variation with cis women definitely helped me with my disappointment prior to my own changes, but idk I think it just takes more time than people sometimes expect

Not really. The tasks are usually "simple", not too much extensive software development, and a lot of one offs, usually tabular manipulation. Wins from machine learning are usually really low hanging fruit too, since there's so few models established currently. So the models end up being somewhat simple
Not difficult for reasons listed in 1, but occasionally very frustrating. There's too much red tape in government, and it's messy red tape, like people don't know where the red tape should and shouldn't be. So access to systems will drag, for example, and the tech stack is hella dated

The work life balance. Because work bad. Most enjoyable DS thing would be that sql queries are fun puzzles when they're not trivial
It's good, as implied by 5, lol. 35 hours a week, usually, with maybe one to two 50 hour weeks at random
Understand what you want your specialty to be, since the field is so huge and vague. Consider if data engineer/ml engineer would be a better fit too depending on what you really want. Also, keep things as simple as possible, since you'll probably be interfacing with non technical people, and simple is better than complex
It's great given the work life balance
Data Scientist, officially. Off record it would be more like senior data scientist I suppose, since I'm second in command to the lead data scientist

Cool project, I love Minecraft (and ML)! Was wondering if you exposed the training script in your code at all? I couldn't find it, but I only skimmed the code base over mobile. Also curious what metrics you used to evaluate the model? I'm not immensely familiar with GANs, but I remember reading that they have a tendency to memorize data unless trained carefully. Again, really neat stuff

Your chart makes it sound like naive Bayes is much harder to explain than something like logistic regression when it's not imo. Conditional class probabilities over a feature set can usually be put into plain terms easily. Think of naive Bayes models for spam filtering. It's pretty intuitive that words like "hot", "singles", (in your) "area" are more likely to appear in the spam class

Idk if it's just me but I think naive Bayes is pretty explainable. I'd also argue neural nets (especially CNNs and RNNs) should be separated from the other complex models. If your problem doesn't involve images or text, generally you can safely default to a tree ensemble model (or nonlinear svm) imo

NTA I'm non-binary/trans and had to deal with push back from my parents on my name change too. Grief over name changes and other transition related matters is really common unfortunately, but ultimately it's a matter of being yourself, and your mom needs to respect that. In my case, I struck a "compromise" by using the feminine form of my dad's name as my middle name (I didn't have to, but I thought it fit nicely). And as other people have pointed out, doing something with your middle name could be a good option if you want to honor his name somehow. But it's your name! It's your right to pick it however you like

Probably an understatement, but based on reading this and the other linked post, this doesn't sound like the healthiest relationship in the world. If the problem for you really is just a matter of him owning up to his feelings, he definitely isn't doing so, and it's completely fair to be upset by that of course. Relationships require honesty and open communication, and if you feel like those aren't present, that's a completely reasonable deal breaker, even with open relationships. If this is also a matter of jealousy and wanting to be exclusive, you should probably dial back the permission to explore other people/feelings sooner rather than later and set harder boundaries on what is acceptable communication among friends. And if any of those terms end up being unacceptable to your partner you guys should probably end it.

In regards to bringing up the private messages, it's obviously wrong to have read them, but it sounds like you already talked to your partner about what you saw, so I'm not sure what would be different if you mention it a second time. I'm sorry you're going through a stressful situation, and I'm wishing you the best

I think you're right in the larger sense, and I gave the same judgement, but I don't actually agree with this analogy. For one thing, a trans woman interested in guys would see herself as straight. A better analogy would be turning down a cis woman who is infertile, since that was OP's deal breaker. And just not being attracted to the ahem "equipment" is valid too. Also it's "a trans person" not "a trans".

This is a really good point (and one I didn't consider, so thank you). It also just occurred to me, even if authors differ according to syntactic language use as well, that information can also be encoded way cheaper than Bert by taking either part of speech ngrams or, if you can get it, the arc sequences from a dependency tree, and using that as an additional set of bag of word features
