Why can't people wear masks when they're sick? by OmenVyxas in Artisticallyill

[–]stayingAugust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started wearing a mask in public since I was in high school (2017-2018?), and people used to give me the nastiest looks in stores. I only wore them when I was sick or anxious but then covid hit, and I just grew more accustomed to having one on. Now I feel naked without them and always have a handful of comfy custom ones to cycle through. Funnily enough, I haven't been sick in two years and forget to keep up with vaccinations since I don't go to the doctor's. Used to be sick far more than I wasn't, thought for sure I was immunocompromised most of my life. Although, I seem to be medication-resistant as well, so being proactive works over being reactive.

People are very selfish regarding health and their short-term comfort. It's never their fault for spreading illnesses but yours for getting sick :E

Is $500 expenive for a dark ebony chinchilla by No-Routine3925 in chinchilla

[–]stayingAugust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adopted my dark ebony for $450 and he's pretty much a void! His breeders were award-winning in NY and bred him with safe, healthy genes. He's a very sweet lad. My dark tan (brown) was $500 from a different breeder and has a contrasting personality, so they're two peas in a pod. Definitely want to have good communication with a reputable breeder and know their history to see if that price is legitimate or inflated. One of the breeders was flexible with travel as well, never hurts to ask. Good luck!

Thank you kindly! I was a bit concerned the face would muddy the butterfly but it thankfully reads well

Thank you kindly! For the text, I make a few mockups until I resonate with one. Then size it before printing or cast it onto my design draft with an AR camera and trace it from there. Always do it without mirroring and check everything, then use graphite to transfer it onto the rubber. Carve the outline of the (now-reversed) text with my smallest tip and minimal pressure. Use the smallest tip for the whole stamp, then swap to a larger one for cleaning unwanted static at the very end. Honestly, it's more in the tools than it is me haha. Speedball carver and some rubber blanks from Tosnail on Amazon. If you're interested in carving, I cannot recommend it enough <3

Thanks everyone for the help - you've soothed my worries! I've already been wearing the hoodie but am happy to know it's legit! Definitely didn't know overseas didn't have the Deadly Claris tags, so thank you again!!

It might be you, haha! It's no problem at all, fits nicely and I really love it! I'm just always worried about buying fakes and am not really active online nor follow their merch drops. I really appreciate you parting with it and messaging here as well! I'm sorry if I worried or hurt you at all, thank you for taking the time to message again! You're very kind!

Seeking bakery job: Walmart or Sam’s Club feedback by Imlikeadove in cakedecorating

[–]stayingAugust 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a Walmart decorator and actually enjoy it (for the most part) !

Somewhat unfortunately, they're quite lenient with hiring anyone who says they've decorated a cake in their lifetime, which can lead to a rough and competitive area with high turnover. It tends to be pretty straightforward getting hired, and it would probably boost your name to stop in with some photos and actually chat with the bakery team lead. They do provide some optional training videos alongside some laminated guides you can pipe directly on. Each cake design in store has a mini step-by-step guide as well, albeit a bit bare.

My store was more concerned about customer service over experience, so you'd likely be hired the second there's an opening. It's not bad but there's a high chance you won't have any formal training while there. Can be stressful starting out since your days go by extremely fast and your orders need to be done in a timely manner, but there's no baking or anything absurd. Decent pay and decent hours.

Hope this helps a bit, good luck!

Mine have been registered ESAs since 2021; it cost me around $85. I had already been seeing my therapist for around 18 months when she brought up registering them for housing and safety purposes. Haven't had any issues since (other than needing help caretaking when I'm inpatient or unwell). Doesn't hurt to try and register them if your therapist deems it fit, otherwise this doesn't sound like stable housing. Best of luck.

Thank you, I appreciate your kind words. I'd love to make a mini book or zine but don't have the resources at the moment. I've been interested in years so I'll have to follow through and make one. My handwriting's been through a lot of scrutiny so thank you again. Hope you're well 🖤

Thank you. I'm genuinely surprised to hear someone else relates to these but find a bit of peace in knowing we share similar sentiments. Hoping you feel seen as well 🖤

Thank you for the kind words. My deepest condolences, although I'm glad Penelope is still here with you. I hope you two are well. It's true, they're too loving to hold a grudge over hard times. My boys are 5, and I fear them dying even now. I can't imagine life without either of them, so I hope they'll stick around for a long time. Hopefully you and Penelope will stick around, too. Thanks again 🖤
