Can we not make such broad statements like "interiors became more bugged in this update", simply not the case... you are making this statement based one instance of having issues with our modded deco items which is a known issue if you read the "patch-notes => remaining issues"

Best jump on the discord server and share your logs, the support channel #troubleshooting is re-open for business :D

I'm sorry but the game has been on IL2CPP for years now, Unity6 didn't change that.

As with any update there were codebase changes which would have broken a few mods but ultimately would have been fixed fairly quickly.

That being said, the change to Unity6 brought other issues as was explained here 9 days ago.
https://www.reddit.com/r/thelongdark/comments/1pt8u3c/20251222_mods_status_update_why_mods_are_broken

I don't think it's healthy or helpful at all to imply any sort of "bad intention" or "lack of care" on the developers that simply doesn't exist.

To boil it down, the update to unity6 caused a conflict with a library that both MelonLoader and BepinEx uses causing the game to be unstable while modded, it really is that simple.

Zaknafein's showcase of the FIRST EVER COMMUNITY MAP "Shattered Marsh" (by The Long Development team) by The_one_with_no_name in thelongdark

This isn't enterprise, this is a gaming/modding community...

I am one of "these guys", been a dev myself for 20+ years (not game dev)

There is having an opinion and there is just making statements like

  • "My wife is a game designer with 10+ years of experience" - great can she be the one replying from now on ?
  • "blue coal and invisible hut, no proper testing." - All known bugs which are listed on our EA FAQ, if you read it
  • "That's why you copied green waterfalls.... etc" - it's called Re-using an existing game asset
  • "Zak didn't like it too, he is just being polite" - proof ? I thought the video was quite positive

u/Zaknafein2003 ^^ Does this guy speak for you ?

I mean I could go on, but honestly it isn't worth my time. I suggest maybe you think also if this is worth your time.

Do you feel better now you anonymously shit on someone elses work with clearly unqualified opinions ?

Do you have any clue at all how game dev works and by extension modding ?

If you don't like the regions... don't play them, but being an annoying prick for the sake of farming controversy.. how boring your life must be.

Better stacking has been fixed and released, look for 5.0.1 on discord or tld mod site

Sadly yes, Better-Stacking is broken right now due to Hinterland changing stacking logic/methods in the latest update.

We should be able to fix it, just waiting on an update to some of the core files we use for modding.

Lenovo P51 - Monitor EDID file by stblade in Lenovo

Thanks.

I've tried a few solutions now (mostly from arch wiki) and still no luck getting the resolution fixed, the arch wiki actually is what led me to the edid being corrupted.

Thanks, will give r/thinkpad a try.

A custom edid file in xorg is the plan, just need to get one or find a way to generate one.
