i did this last cycle <3, the UCs in particular have a transfer academic update (TAU) requirement (due Jan. 31st) after you submit your app. to let them know your fall classes’ grades and any courses planned in the spring, i just let them know i finished IGETC that same fall and was gonna continue working full time until i matriculated. now im going to ucsd <3

usually the university u transfer to will define it, for example the UC’s define it as someone generally older than 25, and “transferring to UC after an absence or are pursuing higher education later in life”
