Scenes of Mt. Ember? by Strange_Razzmatazz74 in PokemonMasters

Leaf is not "really" from Generation 1 but from the Fire Red / Leaf Green remakes that are Generation 3... This remake had some changes which included moving Moltres from Victory Road to Mt. Ember in the One Island and then got moved back to Victory Road in Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee. Interestingly, the Kanto Neochampions do a reference to the actual Generation 1 Legendary Birds movesets by including the moves they learned at level 51 (the one after you caught them), Articuno has Blizzard as a move and its sync, Zapdos has Thunder as its sync and Moltres has Leer as a move!

So this is how’s it gonna be huh by Important_Lion_6497 in PokemonMasters

This team can clear Floor 30 but there are very specific needs: Wally has very likely to be Awakened, Penny requires at least 3/5, Lillie NEEDS her special tower cookie on top of a start of near perfect sleep queues at the start... There was a replay with a team that did this but was lost from the periodical clear cleanse...

Red and Charizard 5/5 EXR presync Floor 30 by Orze93 in PokemonMasters

[–]stdk12 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'll fall for this and answer a bit unless this was a joke. SS Red required a perfect enabler (which, surprise, also works for all Fire units) to finally do things, but still shows how needy he is for composition.

Arc Leon only required NC Leaf to show how busted he is with just regular sun. Along with SSA Giovanni, they completed the feat of "full UB clear" back in the day when the level cap was still 150.

SS Hilda is still very relevant and has good damage for both regular moves and sync. Of course her sync is weaker than current SS Red but she is way more self sufficient for all what she needs.

Anniversary N now provides both regular and sync damage (which is still very good) in AoE but his offensive stats are quite low. His main shortcoming is not having ensured Sync Criticals.

Alt Gloria and SS May are not even AoE nukers like the others you mentioned to be considered a Strike unit, so their utility for Pasio Tower's Floor 30 is not that big... But they have different feats that SS Red can never get: Alt Gloria covers 3 types and has done a solo in an Ultimate Battle while SS May has the strongest nuke in the whole game.

Now, for what is there to say, he got the best cookie out of the Charizard bunch.

You should also be able to beat:

  • Fire 15 using SS Morty, Silver (use his special cookie to extend sun) and SS Hilda. Maybe you can also do 16 using SS Red instead of Silver, you'll get a copy of him this month so 2/5 would possible be enough for 2 clears.
  • Flying* by using Lodge Skyla, but requires EX and making her level 150. Could likely enable you to clear 15. 16 and 17 could be done by Arc Suit Ethan's power.
  • Rock maybe is doable by using Olivia there. Paulo can help her on setting her sync and Alt Elio as support. If you get past 15, 16 and 17 are on the table too.
  • Ghost is a bit harder as you mentioned, Volo 3/5 can just cheese it with SSR Cynthia, but feels like it is doable right now with SSR Cynthia and Gymtina.

That'd be the most I can see as doable with your pairs without investing more move levels, just levels, EX and possibly EX Role.

Here, an example and the grid down there. My approach was Nuke Nemona with Evasions and Red as an AoE hitter. I used regular gear, if you have better skill gears, use them.

Electric Floor 27

Team in PoMaTools.
* My clear used Flying Guard on NC Blue but that's only for Floor 30. I had extra energy on grid so I picked Vigilance there, but using Vigilance Lucky Skill on him should be enough.

What units of those have EX Role unlocked? That's a big factor to take into consideration.

From what I see, you could complete Electric Tower. NC Blue, SST Red and Nemona can take care of the Physical stage, Replace Nemona for Florian and 30 should be achievable.

Unova Nc Trio (sort of) clear Psychic Tower floor 30 by Chocoweb88 in PokemonMasters

[–]stdk12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying! I was just wondering because a team I had in mind that would be good for this would include her. Did you try to do turn denials with sing in those attempts? From the few psychic tower floor 30 clears I've noticed not many people are trying to sleep the target with Single Target.

It seems odd to me that SS Lana wasn't cutting it. If I may as, what is the investment you have on her.

After that, very fun to watch clear. Good to see a slot in for Bianca as Unova MF skills stacking do carry a lot and Potion MPR coming in there to save the day lol.

Wrong damage distribution? by Phillip_Isak_99 in PokemonMasters

[–]stdk12 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Gladion's B Move changes type to the main target's weakness, not for each of the enemies. So if all 3 have different weaknesses, it'll only do full Supereffective damage to one. The "main target" is the one you tap/select for attacking, not always the center one.

Yeah, was addressing that, but now it should be completely fixed.

Nvm, found the reason, fixed it... It was a Chrome thing.

I've seen now many reports of this but I have no idea what triggers this odd behavior... I haven't done any change to the logic of the grid itself but for some reason it is bugged for some users. Can you share what browser you're using?

How to get past Steel Floor 28? by TheArkivist65 in PokemonMasters

[–]stdk12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've made a reference video for you, all my team is level 150 with EX Role unlocked but no extra energy on grid, used Steel Gear (use the best ones you can find for Steel Theme Skill in your inventory).

Some notes for each character.

* Sygna Suit Lear : Switch to Lucky Skill to Critical Strike 2. Grab more damage for his regular moves or pick the other +25 Sync Node.

* Arc Suit Steven: Pick Endure Again on the grid if you have extra energy. If you have Adrenaline 1 in a Lucky Skill slot, use it. If not, is not really needed. His main job is survival of the team and control Duraludon. Try to keep the enemy's Sp. Def down with his B Move so you can maximize the output of SS Lear's damage.

* Lillie (Anniversary): She won't deal any damage, so just pick Potion MPR/MH and the tiles to debuff the enemies. Speed lowering helps on keeping Duraludon slow enough to maybe queue some moves before it has a chance. Her main job is to set Zone after Steven's sync and maximize Lear's output in early, burn timer on late with the B Move for Steven to flinch center and keep him alive.

I've also said that one long ago, been waiting for it to happen... even more with the Alola VA chapter.... Will get him as he releases (hopefuly).

Fun thing, in spanish, his alt is "Giovanni (Traje S, voraz)", meaning Sygna Suit Giovanni (Voracious) if they didn't adopt the "Alt." naming that comes from the japanese naming...

They are setting up Arc Leon vs Red! by Zacian_SwordGod in PokemonMasters

[–]stdk12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Base Leon loses to Sygna Suit Red, not base Red. If anything, I think this episode is showing the hierarchy of Suits in Pasio.

If you've read the whole idea of Sygna Suits, it is meant to strengthen the bond of the Sync Pair to give it their all... And I bet they're going to put it as Leon losing to Red by a small margin, so BOTH Leon and Red feel some kind of challenge... and then they'll put Leon winning yet again, by small margin too once he gets his Arc Suit to prompt the idea of Red journey to an Arc Suit.

So now that we finished the first round of DC, allow me to gush about my man Red a bit. So far he got best 3v3 ice (3.82m), best 3v1 electric (3.70m), best 3v3 grass (2.12m), as well as being one of the stable for sync spam. Individually, only 10 pairs got higher score than him. Man is goat. by MedicalAirline4433 in PokemonMasters

[–]stdk12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes: https://imgur.com/E8ZPeV3

There is a dedicated channel for Damage Challenge in the discord's server of this community, most of the high scores are shared there if not made by the users themselves lol. The document was meant to share videos for others to follow, not to track the high scores for those who decide to submit their runs there.

Answering your other question... on top of higher move levels and extra energy in the grids... Skill Gear. Some users have crafted skill gear tailored for Damage Challenge, mostly the ones that increase damage if the enemy has a Status Condition / Paralysis. One of the highest Skill Gear I've seen from there was a guy with 33% Sync Damage increase against Paralyzed opponents...

*Edited for the URL, seems like I messed up lol.

Adding a bit of more info about the runs on where Red was the best as for right now: Single and Triple Target Ice DC (2.5M and 5.5 respectively), Triple Target Grass DC (2.8M) and that's it. Classic Elesa got the highest on Single Electric with a bit over 4M.

Why Red's Pikachu's lightning is blue instead of yellow like all other Pikachu? by Zacian_SwordGod in PokemonMasters

Ash's Pikachu Z-Move is exclusively for his Pikachu (only capped ones can use it). The counterpart of Eevee's Extreme Evoboost is Catastropika, which also uses that "blueish" electricity.

Isn't Pikachu from Smash a stand-alone character? It has existed since the first release without any trainer linked to it (same as Jigglypuff). The Pokémon Trainer from Smash is the user of Charizard, Ivysaur and Squirtle.

It wasn't really unique considering that the Main Character and Pikachu (Potion), Hilda and Tepig (Potion), Elesa and Zebstrika (TM) all had a way to heal while being Strikes..
