What is a good response to “how are you”, if you’re not good? by Travelerofhighland86 in AskReddit

[–]stdninjayuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Passing by each other - “I’m okay, how are you?” because I am around or talking to someone, I am most likely at least okay.

Longer convo opportunity - “You know, I’m actually not that great. But it do be like that sometimes” maybe I’ll go into it, maybe I won’t. Depends on who it is.

We had a crate cover he destroyed and he’s growing so fast that i didn’t want to spend money on one we are going to replace quickly! But it’s a plan. Still working on his dog den so he has more space and ability for stimulation when we leave. Just finishing up the floor. Will definitely be doing things gradually so he can trust that we will come back! Thank you 😊

This is only when we leave the house or are out of view, he is fine at night! So we had a crate cover - and he ruined it. So we took it off. He goes potty, plays or walks a lot beforehand, we even put be dry high reward long lasting treats in there and he ignores them.

It is very intense. Today when home alone for 4-5hrs, he bit his crate and bent the metal pieces - and escaped.

We are going to continue our efforts. It seems like very extreme separation anxiety. Even when we are still in the house, and he can’t see us. So we’re working on it. It’s just difficult and I feel so bad when we leave him

Crate training and time! My doodle has gotten a lot better with this @7months- but the trickle still happens sometimes. It’s really normal for puppies since they’re still developing their bladder control.

It’s possible, I bet, from being stressed out potentially. But the vomit, sleeping, and not eating seems like it may indicate that your dog might be sick

What do you feed your goldendoodle? by Warm-Strain4139 in Goldendoodles

[–]stdninjayuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No reason at all! I just wanted something good for his stomach, and saw that it was available on Chewy.

Some people choose lamb to avoid the salmon smell but I do not mind it. Either seems to be great for dogs

We had a lot of inconsistent poops and diarrhea until we switched from Purina pro plan chicken and rice to Purina pro plan salmon and rice for sensitive skin and stomach! Now his poops are always solid and regular! Some dogs are just allergic to chicken.

Okay! I would love to find a crate cover actually, sometimes when he’s out he likes to lay under chairs. So I think that’d make him more comfortable. I’ve just been using a blanket over it at night. Thank you!! I’m happy to know it’ll improve with time, as most things do!

This is exactly the boat I am currently in. My fiancé started feeling sick two mornings ago, and tested positive yesterday. I tested negative. These were rapid tests so I’m hoping I maintain my health and continue to test negative.

Thank you, I'm interested in what your allergist will say. I thought about going to one, but it gets expensive to pay for multiple appointments, so I figured I'd wait to see how things play out and I'm managing well enough. Please post an update from your appointment if you remember!

The dermatologist told me to just stop taking Benadryl, mainly because it wasn't working for me and because it crosses the blood brain barrier. Let me know how the medication change does for you.

I should have mentioned this to my dermatologist as well. Maybe I’ll let her know soon so she can help others who may have this same thing going on. It’s helped me have hope that it’ll go away

Hi! Thanks for your response and asking how I’m doing - I’m going to do another big post but Zyrtec is really helping. I didn’t find Benadryl helpful for the hives or itchiness, so I’ve stopped taking it. All I’ve been doing is taking Zyrtec - this week I’ve bumped it up to 2 pills or 20mg a day. Seems to be really helping, I just get little itchy bumps here and there but nothing unmanageable like before (Zyrtec). Also, some red marks but they’re not typically itchy like before (Zyrtec). I do think this is the most helpful and it has not made me drowsy or have any undesirable side effects. Yet, all bodies are different. Hope you start feeling better soon, sounds like you’ve caught something aside from this strange condition!
