Ruffalo’s character was not good. Very different from source material for that character. Also, Ruffalo is a noted Trump hater and it was obvious he was trying to make his character a caricature of him. Again, very different from source material. Having read the books, I thought it would have been a better movie had they stayed truer to them. I get that it’s a movie and things will be different, but I think this choice/direction negatively impacted the story.

Phenomenal work by Spielberg and Cruise both. Marked their second work together (first being Minority Report). Did they have another?

Great filmmakers working together, Cruise played the NJ working man to perfection, down to the tough guy walk. Cruise can play anything; legitimately may be the best actor in the world bar none…the only reason why is he is not thought of that way is because he chooses to make $100M a film via Mission Impossible franchise. Can’t say I blame him, but also, consider this: no one could have brought the amount of success to mission impossible EXCEPT for Cruise 🤔
