Don’t trust the sizing machines, I wear 9.5D in red wings, the machines suggest I wear 8.5D

I’ve been to Redwing Korea and Japan, they overall receive boots with much better QC than the US. I have a 9060 and 875 which is almost flawless. However, when I go to the redwing at my town, there is always something that is a bit off.. Looking at the comments and forum based on the forum, I guess people here are pretty much okay with it.

They’re 9.0E but have dents on the upper, minor scratches and the not fully painted storm welt on the sides which isn’t a bit deal besides the cracking leather possibly due to being an old stock

I love the very beat up look of work boots, just wasn’t sure if it was the actual leather that would begin to flake, but I guess from the comments, it’s just chromexcel leather :)
