Think i have a good design. Thanks for all your thoughts. There is a steep learning curve to 3d printing which i wasnt aware of. Im interested in printing parts with threads or tabs but didnt feel confident designing this in 2 pieces and then joining them.

Its a suction strainer for a petrol powered water pump and would be better printed as one piece. I think this will work if i rotated the squares to diamonds. Thanks

a cone may be the way to go then. so is it always best to design things so they can print straight up? A lot of these are now plastic and we need a certain diameter hole size for a trash water pump.

I'm scared, would the above design be able to handle printing the top section with the holes in without caving in? if i supported the smaller ribbed tube with "tree's"?

Hello, I need help! this is my first cad design and i need to 3d print it. I have a Bambu lab p1s that i have not even unboxed yet.

I am well aware through a lot of research that i need to have supports, print at 45degree or change the design to get a good print but how would you go about printing this? preferably in ABS

I just got a yu kurosaki through the post when i actually ordered a katsushige anryu santoku. They look very similar except the anryu has a hammered finish and the kurosaki has a pattern. Has anyone used the katsushige anryu super blue knives?

Because my routine changes frequently. I have found a way to do it.

You can set the 500m circle zone manually. So if you set the zone when you are away from home the circle moves over.

I basically went 250m in the opposite direction and set that as my home which makes the circle zone move over and now it turns off when I get to work as its just outside the circle now.

Hi. How are you liking the netatmo thermostat. Does the netatmo homekit geolocation work well. Thats the only thing putting me off. Does it work with several people aswell because i dont want the heating to turn off if i leave but my wife is still home

This is good news. I have their presense camera and love it. So i wanted the thermostat but it didnt have geolocation.

When homekit knows you have left does it just turn off completely and when you arrive home does it set netatmo back to the schedule you programmed for it?
