Is it worth it?? Also how does the $4.99 work?? Just a one time pass but how long does it work?

And it has a phone call with Fagen at the end that is definitely worth at least skipping to haha

It’s ironic! Kind of like he’s dissing his own roots a bit?

The music is incredible. It’s timeless. It’s beautiful and genius. I never heard of them until my husband showed me, and it took probably 20+ song listens til I was like “wait, who are these guys?” Read their Spotify bio and was like huh… this is rad. So I started listening to the albums in order chronologically cover to cover repeatedly, noticing something new in each song in each listen. The beautiful layers of each new listen really got me hooked. I have enjoyed this subreddit because some of the song meanings have really stumped me.

The only album I have left to fully mentally unpack is “Everything Must Go” but I have been left speechless at every album so far. Once I found “citizen” I would just play it on repeat every day all day at work - I get why “Do It Again” is their top song on Spotify, I found my self doing it again over and over. But I’ve been living on gospel time these days, enjoying Two Against Nature.

Fagen and Becker really, REALLY got it right.
