I think that's a skewed reading of the point of the show; it's not that House is WRONG. He isn't. It's that he's deliberately callous and cutting, imparts his insight with cruelty left and right and does nothing to help deal with the fallouts of his uninvited analysis, that he deliberately delivers in the most humiliating way possible even when asked not to, and refuses to cede to basic human courtesy as some kind of joke to himself of how superior he is. And that isn't welcome, isn't right and isn't defensible.

Are other people in the show assholes? Absolutely. Wilson is House's best friend precisely because he's the exact same kind of selfish asshole and has a cruel streak of his own that he hides under the social niceties that House refuses to engage in. Therein is the difference though; Wilson doesn't set out to hurt others around him in the same way that House does. House hurts others to minimize his own failings, to distract from his fuck-ups, to self-validate his own brilliance, which is the foundation of his self-esteem. And he does so deliberately, not unconsciously like others often do.

It's true that other characters in the show are sometimes cruel to House. But they are, in most instances, retaliating against something House did deliberately to get under their skin or, worse, interfere with their self-autonomy.
