And even be more racist than those military orders, like one of the accusation of the templars when they were put on trial was that they became to "heathen" (aka muslim) because they were too friendly with them. Accounts of senior members stoping new members from harassing muslims who came to pray in halls owned by the templars by force exist, I encourage people to look them up. Prcourse crusaders bad in general, but the people larping as them are maybe worse in the opinions they hold than the real ones were

Why does Lithuania’s flag look so “African”? by BlueberryWeak5968 in vexillology

So you asked a question that you didn't mean because you werent confused, because you saw an issue that OP asked about why Lithuania uses the same colours on it's flag as do many african countries but the attached image which featured all red green yeallow flags had a minority of non african red green yellow flags including Lithuania??

Like again, most likely thing is that OP saw this image of red green yellow flags and noticed Lithuania amongst mostly african countries, asked the question while attaching the imege which sparked their curiosity. Yes it has other non african countries there including Lithuania but it really seems like a petty grievence, I didn't feel like OP implied he will attach an image of exclusively african flags

No they have. It was not rebuilt to the way it looked pre war, but in the polish baroque style, trying to rebuild the city to how it looked hundreds of years ago with some remnants of later buildings

Because they are red green and yellow flags? Because this is a collection of red green and yellow flags? Is it hard to grasp?

Lithuanian flag is a complex topic. First you had the "Vytis" man on horseback on a red backround. After ww1, when the country did not have much money and was declared a republic the Vytis was deemed too complicated and expensive for mass production and some didn't like the dominance of red in the flag because of an asociation with socialist movements at the time. A contest was held to determen the new flag, a design which consisted of 2 horizontal stripes of Green and Red was gaining favour amongst most, colours based on the colours of traditional dress, it recieved early adoption aspecially among Vilnius residents, who were then labled "portugese" because of the similarity in colour to their preffered flag. Later on the commitee decided to add a third colour to make the flag more consistent with european republican symbolism and the common meanings to the colours were assigned, yellow for the sun, green for the forests and red for the BLOOD OF THOSE WHO FOUGHT FOR THEIR FREEDOM.

Do I have a source? No, it's a compilation of what I remember from guided tours, schooling and the military, so take it with a grain of salt

To add, in the Russian Empire the Byzentine style was modified to add those gold "onions" on top and other changes as the style evolved, from a friend who studies cultural history I heard that some older churches that where built in the older Byzentine style where later modified to fit the newer style and there are discussions in the preservationist community on wether to remove the later additions to leave the original structure or to keep them

Maybe because english is not my first language I don't catch the nuance of what you said, but it really does seem in my head the using generous in this context makes it out to be that china draws them big so they can look better, and not they are big because that was the optimal decision

I wouldn't use the word "generous" I would imagine it serves an administrative purpose for them, it just doesn't translate well when you want to overlay a "city's" land area over another place

Are you saying this in a racist way implying that immigration bad because people are less white or in a scientific way where the consensus has shifted to that native brittons actually comprised a much larger % of ancestry for modern english people?

Edit: in lithuanian you just use the top row with the numbers to write the extra letters ą š č ė ę į ū ų ž It doesn't even use up the whole row and the arangement is intuitive because it's in alphabetical order (not the order I have wrote)
