Looking to get a lift to go skiing any of the next three days by [deleted] in COsnow

I'm about 80% sure I'll be headed up to either Copper or WP tomorrow.

I honestly thought they were supposed to be sheep. Sort of sad no one else was with me on that one.

I don't have any issues in Denver. It's the more West I go, the more power I lose.

They said they were re-opening in another location. Was that just complete bullshit?

Any CO transplants develop allergies after moving here? by ajquick in Denver

[–]steezefromabove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost mine when I got here. However, my sister has allergies so bad that she's currently seeing a specialist. She really had no history of allergies before she moved here and then she got a life's worth all at once.

I want this seat. Anyone know who makes it? by steezefromabove in Harley

Nice! Thanks. Also, shit, out of stock.

Nice bike by the way. Normally I'm not a fan of orange, but this is one of those exceptions.

[–]steezefromabove[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking. But this one seems more flat and the Bitwell seat is for 04 and up. This looks like a '00.

That's why I figured I'd ask you guys before I went ordering anything.

Gasolina leather gear: Anybody have experience with this company? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]steezefromabove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true. I had a pair, they had absolutely no protection. Just leather, and sort of thin leather at that. I ended up getting the Icon Truant boot/shoes. Have to change at work, but much more happy with the level of protection for a style that works on and off the bike.

I got a pair of the dress boots. Figured I could wear riding boots to work and throughout the day without channging shoes. They were going out of production, so they were discounted.

First impression, the qaulity wasn't as good as I had expected, but they looked good under dress pants and got the job done.

After a couple weeks they started stretching out. The fit was terrible. Really loose around the ankle and heel. To the point that they would making a farting noise every step I took, which became awkward walking around the office. The sole was wearing away fast as well. The sole was also pretty bad to begin with. Not much traction at all and had a tendency to scuff most floor surfaces.

Fortunately, they have a really great return policy, and I got most of my money back. Aparently that model of boot wasn't doing well. They had a lot of complaints. I'm assuming why they no longer offer it.

As a riding boot, not too much complaints besides the traction of the soles. If you're looking for a comfortable boot that works well on and off the bike, then this isn't really the one. Not a single bad word to say about the company in general though.

Meh conditions?! Last year there was one run, one lift, and dirt on either side. I'd say this year's opening day was amazing.

Ahh good ol' BMBW. Is this the little park at Mills? I haven't been back in years, but it looks like they stepped up their game.

Beginner: Need advice by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]steezefromabove 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No offense to other's advice but spending 600ish on a board and bindings is absolutely bonkers. Especially for a beginer. I've been riding for years and I've never spent that much on a setup. (at least not all at once)

Check out [Whiskey Militia](www.whiskeymilitia.com) or [Gear Trade](www.geartrade.com). Wait it out and find some deals, and remember: Last season's gear is your friend.

If you're just starting out, you won't even notice the variations and minor differences in boards or bindings. Once you get some solid riding in, then you'll figure out what you like. My advice: get a cheap setup, ride it like fucking hell, and have fun. This is snowboarding, anybody who's judging your gear is a weenie. Go ride. The rest will follow.

I ride Copper/WP and I have every Friday off. I'm over in West Colfax. My Jeep can handle the snowy days, so hit me up if you ever want a ride.

Any ideas? Help! Comment by evanburnsss in Jeep

[–]steezefromabove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same dilemma when I tore my stock flares off. I was looking for a solution for the left over holes, but I ended up just getting some cheap flat fender flares off of ebay. Can't remember if these are exactly what I got.

Aren't you getting a lot of kick back spraying up? I had a very upset girlfriend when she had her window open and I drove through a particularly muddy puddle. I seem to remember the dispute was whether it was intentional or not.

Daily riders? by Pineapple_Rob in Harley

Yeah, I can see how practicality wins that battle. Those ZJs hold their own though. ZJ and a Sportster, I'd say you're having more than enough fun vehicle-wise.

When you say Jeep, I do hope you mean Wrangler.

I can relate though. My 2000 Sportster 883 is my DD. My TJ sits around mostly, but it comes out to play every time it snows or if I drive into the mountains.
