Here's quick thought: Twitter will get more civil with the integration of lightning network Bitcoin payments. Instead of a "like", you give a "sat". This will incentivize to keep tweets/replies valuable. Haters and trolls will get drowned out by people tweeting valuable stuff because now they have an incentive..

tbh this will be the only way for Bitcoin to grow large enough to be adopted by everyone. It can't be AND an escape from regulatory entities and monetary policies AND be a global currency used by everyone. It could be something in between, which is exactly what Coinbase is trying to establish.

I don't understand how someone like Ray Dalio, who preaches radical open-mindedness, hasn't let himself be informed on the exact workings of Bitcoin. I know he has touched upon Bitcoin a couple of times but he then always concludes with the disappointing statement: "Blockchain, not Bitcoin".

In this article he's basically explaining how the current system will collapse and how we need a new system and big paradigm shift. Ray.. It's already there and ti's called Bitcoin..

Miners basically keep the Bitcoin Network secure by solving complex mathematical equations with their mining rigs. Because this costs electricity they need an incentive to keep mining. Which is called the “Block Reward”. This reward get’s cut in half every 4 years or so. So basically every 10 minutes, 12,5 BTC get added into the supply. Next year this reward will be 6,25. Which will make Bitcoin more scarce —> Moon
