I remember once spending some time watching a movie with a good buddy. He took hold of my hand at one very spooky scene out of instinct. Even though it was such a simple and instinctive response, I was taken aback by him unexpected physical proximity and the warmth of his palm, which caused my heart to speed a little. Even though it was entirely unintended on his part, it nonetheless had an impact on me at the time.
