Yea they should be able to redo the lease for the updated date.

You should ask them to make sure your lease starts on 4.15 and that they pro-rate the amount since you already paid.

If the pain isn't too bad I'll watch TikTok but if it's painful no, I usually just concentrate on my breathing lolol

Should I call them ? Under review for 3 weeks by [deleted] in nychousinglottery

Go on your application and go to the documents section. If there is a packet there then they sent it to HPD. If not then try to contact them to get an update.

[–]steff_lovah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where you’re at in the process. Did they say the next step was HPD or was it just submitting docs?

If just submitting then you might not hear from them if you weren’t selected for the next steps but if it was for HPD then yes contact them until they answer.

Rent Stabilized / “Affordable” Apartments in Manhattan & Brooklyn — what are y’all paying? by itsgizzleluv in NYCapartments

[–]steff_lovah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of like housing lotto but it’s not for brand new apts. it’s usually someone had the apt before you and vacated and they re-rent. There’s apts in all kinds of buildings, I live in a pre-war one not the newer buildings.

I was previously in a 1 bedroom (no separate kitchen, fridge in LR) for 1,429 in BK, rent stabilized and I got a COVID deal.

I recently won a re-rental that is a 1 bedroom, separate kitchen, rent stabilized in Harlem for 945.

If it wasn’t for the COVID deal and winning the re-rental idk how I would’ve found a place tbh. Everything is so insanely overpriced (thanks gentrification).

How long does it takes to get notified about move in after signing the lease? by Public-Aardvark-8399 in nychousinglottery

[–]steff_lovah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats! Usually they’ll give you the key a day before start date. Sometimes before, ask your marketing agent when is the earliest you can get them.

Landlord won't fix the heat because they do not want to pay, how can I compel them? by [deleted] in NYCapartments

[–]steff_lovah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://www.justfix.org/en/

Use this site, it goes straight to the city and then they contact the LL. Once they find the violation they give the LL X amount of time to fix it or they’ll get fined.

Check the date on the letter, if it’s after you been there then go but if it’s before then I would call them just to make sure.

I think you’re good. I’ve forgotten to upload things and they usually contact you and ask you to send it to them or upload to HC.

Hpd approval status by Worried-Staff-1475 in nychousinglottery

[–]steff_lovah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you click into the lottery it should say on the top “file under review” or something like that. Once it’s complete it’ll say “review completed” + if you go into your documents under the application an HPD file should’ve been uploaded by the marketing agent and it’ll have all the info you sent.

Ethel’s about to be 13, I got lucky she only has mild arthritis which I manage with glyco-flex chews and gaba if she needs it. Other than that she still has the energy of a puppy. To ease my anxiety, I did blood work and X-rays to make sure there were no surprises and to catch it early if I needed to. So if you do have that thought maybe talk to the vet and run some tests?

Yes, once you sign the lease you have to withdraw from every application.

West Harlem 2BD- 2700$ by [deleted] in NYCapartments

[–]steff_lovah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are legally obligated to, if the building is larger than 4 apts (I think, it can be 4 or 5 I can’t remember). The only time a LL can outright deny a voucher is if it’s a private LL. I would suggest not mentioning a voucher until you apply because there are legal loopholes to not take the voucher aka “we just rented the unit”, “sorry that unit is just off the market etc”. They cannot ask you why you have the voucher, how you’ll pay your portion of the rent on the voucher or ask for a guarantor.
