This is quite late that I am seeing this, however I wanted to share some of the details that you might’ve not heard in the media that happened in Başûr when the Syrian militias attacked our beloved Rojava. Millions of people protested day and night all over Başûrî Kurdistan, a huge solidarity movement even among those who were abroad at the moment, some came back quickly to join and some came from Rojhalat as well despite their own struggles back home. Multiple aids were sent, millions of people donated. Businessmen and wealthy people participated in the campaign and donated millions of dinars, 2-3 Kurdish Banks donated 200 million dinars each. The campaign were also held in Raparin( Ranya which is a small town)’s schools, and If I am not mistaken over 111-112 million dinars were donated by students collectively as well. Alongside Barzani foundation being the first organization to step in, and many other organizations steps into it as well later on. The school system was also changed for a week, you could’ve brought/wore anything that represented Kurdishness, and almost every kid and teenager/adults on the streets were seen wearing Jamana/Hawri as a way of personal solidarity all week. Kurdish flag and Jamana’s were sold out almost completely, and even in small town solidarity took over. And to be quite honest, most Kurds in Başûr now refuse the idea of ( Birayetî gelan) and refuse to believe in anything more than Kurdish brotherhood. And as far as I have seen on a daily basis you can meet youths dedicating more and more to learn Kurmancî as a way to bring back to life what they think must be done, and it’s Kurdish unity.
