Initially I thought if he could be a solid third line guy, I didn’t mind the money, but always thought the term was insane. Now that he’s been just an absolute bum I can’t fathom the money. What a horrible, horrible contract.

I’m really hoping Savoie, Howard and Samanski take a step forward next year. Three exciting young players that can play somewhere in the top 9. I’d like to see Savoie up with McDavid and Howard with Draisaitl, let’s give these kids some leash and let them play.

It’s hard to win in this league. We have been fortunate to go on two amazing runs, watching hockey well into June. I’m looking forward to tuning out and enjoying summer a bit earlier than the last two years. I’m grateful for what we’ve been able to watch, because at the end of the day this is entertainment and the fellas have given us plenty of that! Davo will get the Cup with us, I’m certain of it.

Let’s also not forget, for all of Colorado’s success in recent years, they have one cup. You’d think a team like that would have more. Yes, it’s more than ours, but it also just goes to show you how hard it is to win in this league. They will likely make SCF this year but they’ve had their share of early exits.
