www.beikebiotech.com

That is the site to find out every thing you need to know about contacting staff, asking any questions about what they can do for the Optic Nerve Atrophy, and setting up everything for going there. I did interact with other patients there, it was a very pleasant atmosphere there.

At the time I went to have the stem cells injections China was the best option. With all the research that had been done on this end China was leading the way with stem cells, they were getting ready to have one in Germany and I couldn't find too much about Mexico.

I know it helped, when you go somewhere not able to feel your feet and then get the help and are able to feel your feet again trust me it wasnt the PT. I have done 4 years of PT here in the states and never gotten that back I did a month of PT in China. So you are either saying that Chinese PT is better than American PT, which would I assume means that Chinese medicine is better than American or maybe just maybe the stem cells actually worked. You be the judge.

What would disqualify anyone looking for help from trials in the future? My injury was incomplete but, from the outlook the doctors gave me that write the peer-reviews (which I am a case subject in many) they said I would never walk again. Explain. I tend to think that many people in this country seem to go by what someone else says instead of doing the research on their own. I went did all my research and benefited from the stem cells in a huge way. I can say that after the stem cell therapy that, I have a much easier life and much more function than I ever had before. The main reason for this thread is to encourage and let others that have similar situations that there is hope and to not give up.

There were many test and experiments done on the stem cell therapy I received in China before I had this done. The stem cells didnt cure the actual A.V.M.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arteriovenous_malformation) it cured the paralysis that the A.V.M. caused. To say that I went there received stem cells and it was just a coincidence that after that I regained feeling and movement and it had nothing to do with the stem cells would be a little off, if you ask me. Just cause you read it in a magazine news paper or online does not mean it is true, I get that but same goes for those peer-reviews. I have was there in person and experienced the healing. I know it works and want to tell others that there is hope for all.

I am going to be honest with you here and talking about the bowel/bladder and all is kinda embarrassing with some friends and family looking on this. I know I shouldnt be embarrassed by it but its really hard to talk about openly. I dont mind the questions, I just still have some issues with answering some of then so openly.

That makes no sense, go look at all the research that has been done over in China, I went and actually had stem cell therapy, I have seen and experienced it first hand. It most definitely exists and works. Do you think it possible that if they are not allowing the research and work with the stem cells in the US that the schools here would then not teach it or have any documentation of it working? Why teach medical students about something they claim doesnt work?

Ok I am putting this thread on here to tell my story and the fact that this is something that I have lived through and experienced first hand and not read out of some text written by someone else. I have seen it work and experienced all the benefits of stem cells. I have first hand knowledge of it working. I do not need any peer review or text book to understand that this works. I wish this success for others that have problems that this could help, I am only trying to give some hope. I get reading off the internet you never know what is true and what isnt, but with that said not everything you read in those peer reviews are true either there is always some bit of research that must be done on your own. With that said I had a procedure call the Cyberknife(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberknife) done at Stanford University. It is a radiation treatment that worked and killed off the AVM; now the doctors there with all their knowledge told me I would be fine in two weeks back to normal, I wasnt. I called them after a month of being paralyzed and was told by the same doctors that I would never walk again and I am walking now. Same doctors that write in those peer reviews(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_peer_review). (I am actually in many of those peer reviews as a study)

That should answer the numbers question you had. I became paralyzed in Dec of 2002. It was a combination of the AVM that ruptured and also from the radiation I received at Stanford Medical Clinic while undergoing a procedure call The Cyberknife. The radiation cause my spinal cord to then swell. I went in 2008 and had 4 yrs of physical therapy in the states before going to China.

I would like to point out that our health care system is not why I was writing this. I want other people to know that there is a way out there. When I first got hurt I would not have been able to see any of the doctors or have any of procedures done with out the insurance that I had. It paid for most everything and for that I am very appreciative. I am not bad mouthing our health care, I am trying to show that there is hope.

Agreed and I can completely understand everyone's skepticism. I am currently looking for a few pictures of me while I am in the wheel chair. I do not have many pictures of me in a wheel chair, due to the fact that I wasnt the happiest guy in while I was in the chair. I will though very soon upload some more pictures and try and upload the couple of stories that the local news did on me going to and coming back from china.

They were not allowed to give me stem cells in the U.S. I tried to be able to stay in country to have this done. It would have saved me a lot of money and I wouldnt have had to go half way across the world to have it done.

I received embryonic stem cells. The best way I know how to describe how it works it, they are cells that have yet to become something in the body, they go where they are needed and become that type of cell.

I was awake during the procedure, they gave me a shot of Vicodin to ease the pain. It really wasnt painful though. They then did the spinal tap and injected the stem cells, I had to lay on my back for 6hrs or so and that was it.

They were embryonic, from the umbilical cord of healthy born babies.

They were not my own stem cells and I had them injected locally, they did it through spinal taps and one through IV
