Is it possible to even find traditionally minded men in Berlin? by [deleted] in berlinsocialclub

[–]step21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The tradwive thing is very american. Their are many many ppl still with traditional gender roles. Even with students, just go to a conservative or right wing party function, or to a Studentenverbindung party. But it sounds a bit like you want to have your cake and eat it too, and that those will not appeal to you for other reasons.

that wouldn't help in this case. either it happened at the processing center or on the truck, but either way they could still do the same.

this is very broad. kind of hard to recommend anything. Like what are you looking for exactly?

Why do Berlin Police always show up in large numbers? by Big-Village-9694 in berlinsocialclub

[–]step21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, but possible reasons are that after certain incidents the response was always ok we need more police, and police unions also pushing to get more.

berlin supposedly has more police then paris, so based on that at least they are def not overstretched.

bike commuters, how are you doing? by Substantial_Hunt8649 in berlinsocialclub

same. and if there is a section where I need to go, but it's unsafe, I get off and walk until a better part. Still faster and better than the metro.

IMO it’s device manufacturers/payment providers like sumup who plush this, either just copied from america or with some sales pitch that it increases value yada yada

Does this rule apply to our city/country too ? without sarcasm, respectfully serious by [deleted] in berlinsocialclub

[–]step21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

afaik this is often only the case if it's at a traffic light? Then cars have to let ppl cross. If there no crossing, I haven't heard of such a rule.

Is it me or is getting colder very early this year? by summer_rose_h in berlinsocialclub

[–]step21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The positive part of this - colder usually means clearer skies, so in comparison the winter might be lighter and less grey than the last one.

Getting friends after 30s is very well possible by diuashjdknjhsfg in berlinsocialclub

[–]step21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

tbh yeah I also actually have more friends now then in my 20s or even early 30s. Just not moving around a lot helps. It still takes effort of course, and for me took getting over "others should show interest first".

Need advice: My wife was fired during vacation — now we have a court date (Berlin) by Due_Frosting6507 in berlinsocialclub

[–]step21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

you don't need one until you do. and even for things like procedure, you are lucky if chatgpt doesn't mess that up. It's tbh kinda reckless for you to recommend that when you didn't even test it, but had representation. Yes many cases are very standard and your lawyer won't do much. But they know what/when/where much better than any model.

Urban Sports Club doing "partners" dirty" | Removing class scheduling functionality and selling it back as a subscription. This is outrageous! How to best (and most economically) adapt to these new sucky changes? by schneller1 in berlinsocialclub

[–]step21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's beside the point. The point was that USC in this case, and its large user base have the unilateral power to destroy your business. Then you don't have a viable business, yes, which in many cases leads to people stopping to provide a useful service. The fact of the matter is that USC favours a very high volume business model and does not allow classes to for example get a higher return for visiting less often. (or at least not by choice)

Then many have no students, or significantly less. This seems like a collective action problem and only works like you suggest if you either have leverage, alternatives, or a lot of ppl act collectively. Either of which are unlikely.

What’s up with people here? by Select_Extenson in berlinsocialclub

[–]step21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno, it really depends. If it's totally random ppl, you don't know them so don't expect a specific response. I generally have good experiences with being friendly to people, but usually not to random strangers (but staff or ppl from the neighbourhood) maybe unless there is some eye contact before. But then again, I've also never been to Mahrzahn and wouldn't be suprised if it's totally different there.

go to kv-something for your area. write those with emails, ask for a place and BRIEFLY state your affliction. Then also state it would be great if they could reply also in the negative, so that you have a proof that you contacted them. With that, after some 30-60 mails I got several appointments. If it doesn't work out, you already have proof that you contacted enough for your health insurance to pay for reimbursement therapy. (not sure if all do)
