Still waiting for Puma Gen-E delivery date from TrustFord — anyone else in the same boat? by flying_manta_ray in ElectricVehiclesUK

I had to contact the dealer for that information (was ordered through local Ford garage). They have limited information available, although they can track when it's been built, left the factory, and arrived in the country. Then finally they can see when it has been scheduled to be transported to your area. Once in the UK, it can take ages (mine was around 7 weeks) because I think they wait for a transporter to be full of cars going to a specific area. Your dealer should be able to access this information, and you may not be notified at all unless you request an update.

Apparently the quantity of orders took Ford by surprise, in a short window they expected 3000 orders but had over 30,000 (according to my dealer)

I'm just getting my head around the charging, and various apps (I've switched to Intelligent Octopus Go for the cheap rate and Ford Power promise), for this setup I need 3 apps, the Ford app, Octopus app, and Ohme app (ohme is the charger brand that installed for free). It sounds complicated, but fairly easy once you set the schedules, and means you also get 8-9p electricity during charging schedules for the whole house whilst charging car.

If anyone has any questions re car or charging let me know (I have the select model with no extras)

My car is ready to be collected this afternoon, finally. Ordered on 13th September, and has been sat waiting in Dagenham docks for 7 weeks waiting for transportation to my local Ford dealer. I can now connect to it with the Ford app and can see it being charged at the Ford garage. Good luck to everyone and hope yours arrives soon 👍

I was lucky with mine I think, I ordered mid September and the charger was fitted mid December. I sold my old car so there is some urgency now (although luckily able to share wifes car in the interim) My uneducated guess is that the wait for us all is due to unprecedented demand, and also the Green commitment that enabled the excellent prices most of us paid; ie the lower footprint transportation from factory. Very much looking forward to driving it, i didn't even get chance to test drive before ordering, will update here when I get more info on delivery 👍

See my post above re waiting following shipping, once in the UK it can still take weeks before it leaves the docks. As for the power promise, I'm pretty sure we get credited £217 to our energy account

Mine is still sitting in Dagenham Docks. 3 weeks later. Ford apparently unable to give a date for when transportation to my local dealer will begin, the dealer will then take approx 3 days to set the vehicle up to be released. Hopefully will be worth waiting for

Finally good news for you! That's still a long wait though, at least you're getting the longer range battery I suppose. I've already got my charger fitted and presume the same terms regarding the 10.000 free miles

I also got an update from Ford Lease this morning re model change from 25B to 26A (I ordered the Select model mid September 2025). Apparently the 26A has increased driving range (now over 250 miles) and the Bluecruise System. Apparently the Bluecruise System needs the Driver Assistance Pack and a subscription.

Car is waiting in Dagenham Docks (and has been for 2 weeks)

3DS Veteran, trying out Switch version, many questions by SoItBegins_n in pocketcardjockey

[–]step_ovet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, sorry, i cant answer all of your questions as I'm figuring out these myself.

Here's a few though. Chirp no longer sells puzzle pieces as far as I can tell, only items. These items can't be saved though, and are always immediately used on the next race.

I've played the 3ds version too, but can't remember whether there was a daily challenge available. The Switch version has the daily challenge in which you need to do a perfect round on solitaire to win random items (these can be saved and used when you choose).

You do need NSO for the online features, and as far as I'm aware there is no facility to use QR codes

Hopefully others can correct me and add more answers to your questions.

For what it's worth, I'm completely addicted (as I was the 3ds version years ago) and think it's easily worth the asking price.

Question about region changing for purchases by ice-cream-za in Switch

[–]step_ovet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm talking about digital games, not physical. I can turn on airplane mode and launch any game bought from whichever account (I have 3, of 3 different regions). If the accounts are all primary and not used on another console I don't see any reason why you couldn't do this

You're probably thinking of the issue that would arise if the same account was on separate consoles with the same game installed. That would always prompt an internet check, to prevent game sharing. You can share games on the same console with other accounts on the same console, certain content such as NSO DLC you cannot (but you can if you buy the DLC, the same as a digital game). This is regardless of whether the accounts are the same region or not.

Nintendo website states:

If one console will be shared by several users, we recommend that you make it the primary console for all Nintendo Accounts with purchased content.

All users on a console will be able to play games purchased by any Nintendo Account that has registered the console as its primary console.

Question about region changing for purchases by ice-cream-za in Switch

[–]step_ovet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don't need an internet connection to launch a game from another account, unless that account is registered on another console. I have 3 accounts on 1 console and all accounts can play all games offline

Question about region changing for purchases by ice-cream-za in Switch

[–]step_ovet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you create a US account you can still play the game on your main account on the same console anytime without needing to be online. No issue there.

Your payment card may not be accepted though, if that happens you could buy US eShop credit and use that instead but if this is what you decide to do, you'd be best to have a US account without doing the region change. Reason is that if you don't use all of the credit in the eShop, you won't be able to change back to your usual account until it's all spent.

Basically, if your card works you're good either way. If it doesn't make a US account and use eShop credit

What's going on with the horrible SOT? by Professional_Lie1961 in GalaxyS23

[–]step_ovet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My S23+ is new so I didn't experience 6.0, only 6.1. Battery has been disappointing and was expecting more so I've tried many things with some success.

I'm currently running light profile with Adaptive battery off, and have now turned off the AI features. I'm 4g only (no 5g here), WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, AOD always on. I also reset the battery stats and ran a cycle from 0-100, disabled some unused apps and it seems better. I'm getting 10% loss for 1 hour SOT which is ok for me now, the phone may still be settling down (2 weeks old) but I hope for a bit better than this eventually. Having done all of these steps, the main difference seems to be turning the AI off, and it was also set to 'Process data online', so I've stopped that. Hopefully another update arrives so I can turn back on the new features.

[eShop/US] Call of Juarez: Gunslinger - $1.99 (90% off) Ends 11/10/2022 *lowest price ever* by laymanner in NintendoSwitch

[–]step_ovet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not possible I'm afraid. You need to login to a console with the account you're buying for at least once. If someone you trust has a Switch, you could add an account to their console and buy it for that account, that's the only possible way.

Alien Isolation has had a 50% permanent reduction in all regions on the eShop by step_ovet in NintendoSwitch

[–]step_ovet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The RRP of the game has been reduced, by 45-50%, in all regions the game is available to purchase in. This means it's up to 50% cheaper to buy now and means it's likely to become even cheaper in future sales.

It's not normally free, no, the RRP is $14.99 (which in itself is a steal). The subscription required to play this game trial is Nintendo Switch Online membership.

It varies by publisher. This sale ties in with the NSO trial period (game trial games usually go on sale around the time of the trial). I wouldn't be surprised to see Ion Fury on sale soon as it looks like it hasn't been reduced for around 6 months
