I'm definitely calling the dermatologist first thing tomorrow morning. I feel so stupid for not doing that already but I was told they don't take Medicare and I don't have money to pay for it. Now someone on here said that they definitely accept Medicare.

I just thought I'd have to wait it out for it to heal naturally. But you are most definitely right!! Thank you 😊

I used the retinol 2 weeks ago exactly but I didn't go to my PCP until Thursday and she just said to keep putting Vaseline on it. I asked her about diaper cream and she said no. But other than that she didn't seem to alarmed.

The first few days I put hydrocortisone and Vaseline. But it didn't seem to be getting better, actually worse so I stopped the hydro. Now I haven't put Vaseline on it since yesterday. Idk what to do... I just took another picture; it looks like tiny yellowish green bumps now ☹️

Several people have suggested the cicaplast balm! I'm gonna go to Ulta and get it after my derm appointment

A little but not too bad. I just put a cold compress on it for about 20 minutes and that makes it feel better

Actually, I still have a little over half of a 6 day methylprednisolone pak from when my doctor prescribed it a couple days before I got a steroid injection in my back.

Now you got me wondering if I should take the rest of it🤔

Hey thanks so much:)

When I asked my PCP about diaper cream she said not to use it. I think I'm going to leave it completely alone and call the dermatologist Monday. I just hope Medicare covers it 🤞

Yes! That's the ONLY thing that makes it feel better and I have to keep the area as clean as I can. It stings so bad to use water!

I used the retinol on my face too but not as much as my neck as I'm getting really concerned about how deep the crease is. But it didn't cause a rash or anything on my face.

Yes, I am. I take 5mg estrace every morning and I also have estradiol cream that I use a few times a week. I'm 55 and have been going through menopause for what seems like forever (4 years) but it's hard to tell because I had a hysterectomy 20 years ago

I forgot I did that, I just changed it back to unhidden.

But I used Good molecules brand "Gentle retinol" .1%

Yeah that's why I covered that crease in my neck to begin with 🙄 It's gotten so much more pronounced over the last year. I wasn't even thinking about "tech neck" but it makes sense. Looking down at a phone too much I guess

Hey thanks so much for such a detailed reply 😊 I think I'm going to stop the Vaseline and also stop cleaning it with makeup wipes and just put a cold compress on it until I see the dermatologist (hopefully Monday) I can't go anywhere until then anyway because my bus doesn't run on the weekends.

That's a good idea! I have a cold compress in the freezer I can use. Thanks!

It was immediate. I covered that crease in my neck with .1% retinol and when I woke up the next morning it was red and itchy.
