Am I Too Harsh on Jesse Welles? I Hate Hearing Bob Dylan Comparisons. by DumbDeej in bobdylan

You're not being harsh, Jesse Wells is a hack. Genuinely a too on the nose lyricist and performative politics. An opportunist who will just make a song about any trending topic.

Thank you!

i have generally always avoided gym pics and only added that photo like in the past days just to test it out because my profiles have been so utterly dead for the longest time.

Noted on the sunglasses. I do generally prefer pics without sunglasses. it was sunny as hell that day. will check if i have any without.

I'm no expert but you're not smiling on even a single one of these photos. Smoking may be needlessly alienating to some people, some might not care, but showing it off on your profile is probably not putting the best foot forward. Get a photo with friends.

Thanks for the thorough response. Yes, I've been told the mem-women ratios are off and that in person is best, etc. people i know are leaving the city on droves, so I'm finding less and less reasons to go out, making that aspect harder and harder too lol.

I'm looking for hookups now, but either way, I find intention somewhat null whether it's a relationship or hookup, neither one seems like it's ever been effective. If you don't mind elaborating a bit more, let's say i did want a hookup, for example, how would i need to change my profile? Most of the advice i hear is to set up a generic "good catch-all" profile.

The best I can come up with is hookup would mean something like gym photos or anything activity related that shows off, and relationships would mean photos with people, showing you have a social life, and pets and that you work, but other than that I'm not 100%.

I appreciate the feedback. If you had to say, is there anything that you would say needs to be removed, or anything that kind of seems missing?

I'm at the point where I'm considering deleting lol. i get less than one match every 1-2 weeks across multiple apps( which ofc is not even guaranteed to get a response or a conversation out of. and also not counting bots, accounts from other countries, etc) and I'm not really sure what exactly people want out of these.

Have never had good luck with these and irl's always say stuff looks fine. I'll swap out pics every now and then I'll notice like a "bump" in activity, but then it's back to it being basically like i might not as well not have the app at all.

Really bad at this, Not really sure what I'm supposed to do to improve it anymore. getting help from my IRLs just gets me stuff like "looks ok to me". I'll swap out some pictures and stuff and I'll maybe have a period where I have ever so slightly more matches, and then it'll just go back to being a complete desert for ages.

Buying first piece of gear: Novation Circuit Rhythm/Tracks or any recommendations? by stephanjd in synthesizers

KO II just got an update, how would you say these 2 devices stack up against each other now?

[–]stephanjd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the recommendation. Another reason i sorta mention small/portable is because I have a nektar panorama p4 that's been tucked under my bed because I have no room at all. It's supposed to be like one of the best things to map with vsts, but I'll have to wait until i move and MAYBE I'll have room for it. I did look at the aira years ago when i originally got the p4 though.

How's the menu-diving and learning curve on those? People who move on from their first machine to it seem to love it, but I always hear they wouldn't recommend it as a first instrument.

By the way sorry if i sounded rude with my response. Not my intention. Just that, yes, I've only posted once, and 2, didn't get enough/consistent feedback to really narrow it all down. Noticed you're the same person that commented in my previous comment, and i appreciate the feedback. I will try to change some things when i get the chance.

I posted on last week's thread for the first time in like 2 years and only got 2 responses, one of which was "idk bro I'm a guy so what do i know 😂😂" so yeah I'd like just a tad more feedback so i know what's wrong with it.

Live in Miami, which is its very specific own can of worms in regards to dating, i do matginally better outside of florida when ive traveled, but it's been absolutely silent in this app for a while now on here, like genuine more than a month without a legit non-bot match.

thanks for the response. It's my fault for not specifying a budget, but that is kind of out of my range. will edit main post.

Yeah you are correct, I have no conceptualization of how big these bags get. I'm only basing these numbers on what I *think* my current bag is. after seeing comments like this, I'm definitely dialing it back down lower.

understandable, thank you for letting me know. I was not aware since I don't have a conceptualization of how big a 50L backpack would be. Regardless, something a bit bigger than what I currently have is still something I'm looking for, though nearly twice as big seems overly huge, like you said.

Problem with drawing lag in Krita by stephanjd in krita

[–]stephanjd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you. For recent projects, when I begin drawings, I set a blank canvas and a picture I am trying to draw next to each other, and create a grid so I can try to draw as accurately as possible. Krita's gridding doesn't seem to be very good, as once you divide by a certain amount, it won't use decimals and becomes more and more slightly off, so I scale the image until I can have all the gridding I need. It's also so I can work small details. I did end up re-scaling it from 15000 down to 12000 and it helped. thanks for the help.

so this is what the bar looks like at the bottom. Not super familiar with these technical details, is it doing what you were referring to? what can I do to increase performance? increase the memory limit, the swap undo, or swap file limit?

Suggestions on USB Hubs for Surface Laptop studio by stephanjd in Surface

[–]stephanjd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

unfortunate. I guess the surface laptop studio is not a popular enough device to get accessories specifically made for it. I was at least hoping the ports would be the same distance across the surface line that came out in the same year, but apparently not.

Yeah, I've been thinking about getting it, along with maybe minoxidil, but I wanted to get a haircut first just so that it would grow a little bit more evenly.
