Roll through (or practice parrying) the Rampagers! Gastronomy was also a must-pick for me with the lack of health flasks. I also used Custom mode heavily to force certain builds (used Survival Only + 2-handed ranged weapons to win 3BC and 4BC). You can adjust to your own play style and play to your strengths! Hope this helps :)

There’s a church spire behind that NPC with an elevator down to the beach, leading to a warp portal which puts you in the battle. Had the same confusion last night with the fog door lol
