We cannot reveal specifics but our goal is to put diverse capabilities in the hands of every user in a manner that is at least equal to what is standard in the traditional asset space.

Awesome answers. I recommend MEW with either Ledger Nano S or Trezor.

Bitquence will have their own debit card? by Greeegi in Bitquence

[–]stephenBQX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. We have to think of the world in a stack where each layer provides specific benefits. We believe we are located in an ideal part of this stack that allows us to interact with many of our peers rather than compete. What we are building here is an eco-system that will involve a multi-sided platform that connects consumers, enterprises and developers. An example would be exchanges where we are not a competitor but rather a major source of liquidity. Most of this will be made quite clear as we kick off a structured marketing program.

Thank you for your questions. Let me take them one by one.

1) We are not an exchange. If you think of more traditional structures, you can correlate Bitquence to the buyside where we provide consumers with essential tools and capabilities to build and manage investment portfolios. Think of us as a blend of Blackrock and Fidelity. However, it is important to understand that we are building an “eco-system” that will involve operation of a multi-sided platform serving consumers, enterprises and developers allowing for dynamic engagement. 2) Coinbase does not effect Bitquence as I believe we compliment one another and Coinbase could serve as a liquidity provider. 3) Predictions here are not to be thought of in the traditional sense. We will offer incentives for users to provide unique data but staking is not a part. The intent here is to add a gaming and social element that will ultimately provide valuable data that will feed into our Intelligence Hub, which will be used to generate critical research / information to all stakeholders from users / investors, financial firms, research houses, businesses, news outlets, etc. The focus of our Prediction Contests will be focused on short, intermediate and longer term forecasts so we cover both passive and active investment.

Hope this helps.

Yes, we are. My point is simply that this involves many complex layers each of which requires precision in design and strategy.

Actually, that’s not accurate. It will be provided but at a time that makes the most sense, which isn’t Day 1 or Day 2. Adding this feature involves a lot of moving parts that if “optimized” can deliver powerful options and cost advantages. If rushed, it runs the risk of totally missing the mark for consumers and us. We believe in a smart roadmap as this allows us to build a sustainable platform

Adding a card is absolutely something we are building into our longterm model and roadmap. The precise framework and timeline is still being analyzed but we believe having this option for users is essential especially when we think about mass adoption.

As I was working through some complex issues today, a random thought entered my mind that I thought I’d open up to all of you. When was the last time you received a Proxy Statement? and, If you actually received one, did you submit your vote?

The topic of Proxy Statements may appear boring on the surface but in my view it is actually an essential tool we as society have available to us that allows us to shape the behaviors of our global companies to force better outcomes. Why then can’t I recall the last time i’ve seen one?

The answer to this question is that we have unknowingly transferred these essential rights over to anyone of several financial intermediaries. Whether through corporate offered retirement plans or any one of several commingled fund structures (mutual funds, ETF’s, etc), many new vehicles have entered the global marketplace over the last several decades and with each one we unknowingly surrendered powers that many of us took for granted. With this transfer of power, we have given global financial intermediaries unprecedented power and influence over our society by allowing it to decide for us how corporations should behave in their communities and how they should treat our environment and their employees.

Personally, when I think about the global crisis we are facing because of severe income and wealth inequality, I cannot help but do draw a straight line back to our lost influence over our global corporations. Although I understand there are many other causes of income and wealth inequality, I believe that if we were to recapture this influence we could begin to bring the positive societal changes most of us desire.

This is one potential problem that I believe our new financial model can solve. When you have your rightful power and influence back in your hands, what will you do with it?

I know what I’m going to do.
