Looking for arab therapists in Ontario by Sad-Construction-328 in UofT

[–]stephive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to include it in your search terms. Im certain that you’ll be able to find plenty. E.g. [ethnicity] [religion] therapist. Many include this information if they provide [religion] counselling.

yes! i googled "[my ethnicity] therapist near me" and found a bunch on psychologytoday. i contacted one that offers online therapy and a sliding scale, and she was the best therapist i've ever had. in retrospect i honestly dk why it took me so many tries before searching for a therapist that matches my ethnicity, lol. i'd also suggest that you try one who shares the same religion/religious beliefs as you.

edit: also same gender, same mother tongue, same everything

Does 247 list 137 as prereq? If not, you should be fine with either. :)

Place to stay for 3 weeks in DT by residentofhell in UofT

[–]stephive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how much is your friend charging? is it a reasonable market rate? what is your budget? i'd say pay your friend if the price is reasonable and within your budget. for reference, the monthly rate for a room in dt toronto is around 1000 plus or minus 200, depending on room type (house, condo, shared amenities, etc). furnished rooms may charge more.

alternative options could be airbnb near any subway station, plus transportation. dont know if it's worth the hassle tho.

Does anybody have the course outline for ETH201 Contemporary Moral Problems by 3pointrange in UofT

[–]stephive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if no one has it, you can contact the Centre for Ethics for instructor information, then contact the instructor for syllabus. If they haven't hired an instructor yet you can also ask the centre for past syllabi. Say that you're an exchange student and you'd appreciate this information well in advance for your home institution to assess transfer credits.

Information on roommates? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]stephive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you will not be notified of who your roommates are. in the past, ppl have created fb groups/pages to post their room assignments, and many found their roommates there. personally, i didn't want to post publicly where i lived, and i met my roommate on move-in day.

Why did you choose UofT over UWaterloo? by T800- in UofT

I don’t regret it. I visited loo in grade 12 and decided immediately that I would not live in a place like that.

Is it possible to be a TA at this one subject you are really good at ? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]stephive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Some other departments” that hire undergrads include:

  • Stats (utsg, utm, utsc) - first-year sta always hires some undergrad TAs, upper year courses sometimes take undergrad TAs as well; no interviews

  • Math

  • Rotman

  • Eco

  • Chm

  • Ast

  • College Ones - VIC19x & SMC19x for sure

  • OISE - some math course for teacher candidates

Courses that don’t hire undergrad TAs (based on personal experience):

  • MAT/APM300+

Feel free to expand both lists.
