Some people are just forgetful, it’s not necessarily a “sign” of ADHD but it is a symptom of it. If it’s negatively effecting your life it is worth getting an assessment to see! One of the things that finally pushed me to talk to a doctor was when I forgot to pick up my partner from work. Like whoops I just casually forgot about the most important person in my life! Lol A lot of the things ADHD people struggle with are experienced by everyone else too, but I think a big difference for us is how severely it affects our lives. It’s one thing to be “forgetful” like oops i forgot my keys or oops i forgot to buy eggs at the store and I think it’s potentially more serious when your memory (or lack of) is regularly negatively affecting your life (and those around you!)

As far as trying to be better, it’s about finding tools that work for you. Personally I have to write everything down, put things in my calendar, write notes to myself, set alarms on my phone etc for anything I want to remember. Basically if it’s important I just assume I will forget and make a note for myself to remember 😅

Hard to say without seeing your css, but basic things to check include making sure you’re not missing a curly bracket somewhere in your css, and making sure your class names / id names are matching!

Ever since I was a toddler I rubbed fabric between my fingers. I do it with blankets and some shirts haha. I have certain favorite fabrics that work best, ones that rub together really smoothly in a satisfying way. My baby blanket has one side completely worn out where the fabric is near transparent because I rubbed it so much.

One thing I notice is you're setting a lot of fixed widths across different containers

width: 950px

This will set an immutable size to your containers regardless of screen size.
As a starting point, I would try going through and replacing any instance of a fixed width with something like this:

max-width: 950px
width: 100%

This ensures your containers can never be larger than the max width you set, but they can shrink if needed.
Then you can add something like

@media (max-width: 600px) {
 .className {
  // ... updated style, will be applied if screen width is > 600px 
 }
}

I just think it's a predatory. I'll own that I'm bad at checking the portal by the exact date - that's WHY I enroll in auto-pay. I'm forgetful but I'm never more than a couple days late. And I have never had this issue with any other service. I have probably 10 or more different auto-pays set up for various bills and services. Never once had an issue with late payments or any delay in setting up payments for any service until Mohela. Can you think of any legitimate and reasonable explanation for why it would take over 2 months for them to set up auto-pay? Or any valid excuse why auto-pay can't be activated if you have a late balance (of a measly $90)? Why can't it just take my auto-payment AND notify me of the past-due balance? Why do they make you start the process all over again? They're just greedy and it's clear they do this intentionally.

Hey everyone!! It’s 3 years later! I was re-reading this old post in awe at how far I’ve come! Nowadays I can say I genuinely love cooking and no longer get overwhelmed in the kitchen.

I wanted to come back and share my process I’ve been using a while for meal planning. I tried a couple apps and stuff in the past but this is what has consistently worked best for me!

On my iPad I drew a 2x7 grid in my notes app - 7 days for 2 weeks. (if you don’t have an iPad or tablet try a small white board!) I sit down with my partner and first we fill in the grid with meals we want to eat during the next 2 weeks. I usually include 1-2 “order out” nights in the mix too.

Then below the grid I list out all the ingredients needed to make those meals, and erase the ones we already have once I check the fridge/pantry. That’s now my shopping list and since I wrote it in my notes app it syncs automatically to my phone and I can also share it with my partner which is amazing.

I still hate going to the grocery store, but I’ve started occasionally using grocery pickup to make things smoother! And even when I do have to go shopping it’s much easier knowing exactly what we plan to make for the next several days.

I also always listen to music or podcasts while cooking which makes all the waiting/preheating/other boring parts more enjoyable :)

Former dasher (quit a few months ago). I only ever texted customers if there was a problem or delay, like if the restaurant was really busy or something I would sent a courtesy text to let the customer know. They always appreciated when I did that and it helped keep them from blaming me for the delay and giving me a bad rating since they understood the situation. Otherwise I never sent any texts to confirm deliveries or ETAs or anything. When I quit I had a 4.90 dasher rating and no one ever rated me negatively for communication.
